Clint Eastwood crashed a wedding on Saturday night (21.09.13).

The 'Gran Torino' director, whose estranged wife Dina Eastwood filed for a legal separation last week in Monterey County Superior Court in California, proved he still believes in love as he made a brief appearance at a mystery couple's reception at his Mission Ranch Hotel in Carmel.

A source exclusively told BANG Showbiz that the 83-year-old star seemed in ''good spirits'' as he spontaneously popped into the celebration for approximately 10 minutes.

An eyewitness said: ''He was visiting his restaurant beside the hotel and everyone was shocked when he came in. He stood at the door alone and just quietly watched people dancing.

''As he was leaving a few guests spotted him and followed him outside. He was clearly eager to leave but spent about five minutes chatting to them and taking pictures before he jumped in his truck.''

The actor, who was once the mayor of his adopted hometown, Carmel-by-the-Sea, stood out at the black-tie affair as he was casually dressed in a North Face fleece jacket, jeans and white running shoes.

Dina first confirmed late last month that she and Clint had amicably separated in June 2012 after 17 years of marriage.

The former news reporter, who also lives in Carmel, is seeking physical custody of their daughter Morgan, 16, but indicated they will share legal custody, and she also wants spousal support from the Oscar-winning actor.

She initially insisted they were still good friends but last week she confessed she was very upset after seeing pictures of Clint on what appeared to be a date with her new boyfriend Scott Fisher's ex-wife Erica Tomlinson-Fisher in Los Angeles.
