James Corden and Cindy Crawford were the unexpected stars of one of the Super Bowl ‘adverts’, as they teamed up to star in a parody of the supermodel’s iconic 1992 Pepsi commercial.

The 49 year old, who earlier in February suggested that she would imminently be retiring from modelling, was a guest on the British host’s ‘Late Late Show’, which aired just a couple of hours after the conclusion of Super Bowl 50 on Sunday night (February 7th). Crawford and Corden had teased the parody last week, and it finally aired on the special edition of the Brit’s show.

The 37 year old British host, now more than six months into his tenure as ‘Late Late Show’ host, hilariously managed to squeeze into the same tight white vest and denim shorts as Crawford. In the video, he gallantly helps Ms. Crawford retrieve the can of Pepsi stuck in a vending machine.

However, he then downs the drink himself and lets out a sizeable burp – thus shattering any illusion of romance in the scene.

More: More than just a model – what will Cindy Crawford do next?

Crawford had teased the spot with an Instagram post in the days running up to it. “Who wore it best? @Jkcorden and I recreated my iconic Super Bowl commercial - tune into @latelateshow on Sunday after the game to see more!” she wrote.

Having been an iconic model for so many years, Crawford clarified the recent retirement rumours on Instagram last week. “Every year, I tell my kids I'm retiring. It's a running joke in our family. And yet every year, opportunities pop up that really excite me. While it's true that I'm eager to shift my focus a bit to concentrate on my businesses, friends and family - I'm not making any final statements (not all headlines tell the whole story!).”

She added: “I have loved being part of the fashion industry for the past 30 years - and if that time has taught me anything, it's this: never say never. Thanks for all the support, I'm so excited for what 2016 holds! Cindy.”
