Former wrestler Chyna has become the latest celebrity to be caught up in a sex tape scandal - but she's backing the release of hers because she's "proud" of her "performance".
Chyna, real name Joanie Laurer, endured a string of battles with her on/off boyfriend SEAN 'X-PAC' WALTMAN last year (03), and even filed a restraining order against him. But now they've put their troubles behind them to make cash from their filmed antics.
David Joseph, president of the company distributing the video, RED LIGHT DISTRICT PRODUCTIONS, says Chyna agreed to work with him when she discovered another firm had a copy of the tape and were planning to release it without her permission.
Joseph, who marketed Paris Hilton's infamous sex tape, says, "She just decided if someone else was doing it, she might as well just do it herself."
In a statement, Chyna expresses pride in the tape, saying, "I'm proud of my performance in the video and feel confident that my fans throughout the world will love it."
Joseph says the video was actually shot in China and claims it's "artistic".07/12/2004 00:02
