British director Christopher Nolan has praised Al Pacino's gracious behaviour on the set of INSOMNIA - because he'd been worried the legendary actor would prove intimidating.

Nolan, whose latest movie Batman BEGINS hit cinema screens this month (JUN05), found Pacino to be the consummate professional on set.

He says, "(I thought it would be) intimidating.

"Someone said to me, 'Did Pacino take direction?' Well, yeah, he demands it. Because he knows how films are made and that's what's expected of you."
