Christopher Mintz-Plasse is quizzed on his transition from superhero Red Mist to supervillain The Motherf***** in 'Kick-Ass 2' during a press junket interview.
He praised new director Jeff Wadlow's handling of taking over from Matthew Vaughn. '[He] understood that you gotta bring the world back but you don't wanna see Red Mist and Kick-Ass and Hit-Girl do the same thing you just saw them do for 2 hours so he wrote these beautiful arcs for all three of our characters to go through', he explains. On receiving the script for the second movie, he admitted, 'I read the script and I was nervous and excited at the same time 'cause it wasn't anything I've done before and I liked the feeling of challenging myself.'
