English actor Christopher Lee is urging critics to reserve judgement on new JAMES BOND Daniel Craig until after the release of upcoming movie Casino Royale.

The 83-year-old, who played Bond villain SCARAMANGA in 1973 movie THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN GUN, was horrified when newspapers began poking fun at the star.

Speaking at the Bangkok International Film Festival in Thailand today (21FEB06), Lee said, "People should not pass judgment until they have seen the film. There's been a lot of nonsense written about him being James Blonde."

Casino Royale is currently filming in the Czech Republic.
