John Legend's wife Chrissy Teigen has made headlines after slamming internet users who criticized her weight, but who is the 'Sports Illustrated' model?
Chrissy Teigen has been hitting the news a lot lately, since her rant to those rude Instagram followers who criticised her weight. Earlier this month, Teigen hit back at the nasty commenters, writing, “In what other real life situation would you walk up to someone and tell them they’re fat or gained weight? Seriously you are POS.”

Teigen’s act of bravery slamming internet bullies has thrust her into the spotlight, but who is John Legend’s wife? 28 year old Chrissy Teigen was born in Utah to a Norwegian father and a Thai mother. The family moved regularly, with Teigen living in Seattle, Idaho, Washington and Hawaii, before settling in California. It was while working in a surf shop in California that she was ‘discovered’ by a photographer.

In 2004 Teigen became an IGN Babe, as well as substituting as a Deal or No Deal model between 2006-2007. In July of 2007 she had her first huge break, appearing on the cover of Maxim magazine’s calendar. Teigen has since worked on campaigns for global brands including Olay, Nike, Gilette Venus and Nine West. She also regularly crops up on various celebrity news channels as a guest host, often appearing on E!, MTV, and Extra with Mario Lopez.
In 2010 she appeared in the Sports Illustrated Swimwear Issue, and would appear in their further swimwear issues in 2011, 2012 and 2013. She finally made the cover in 2014, alongside fellow Sports Illustrated models Lily Aldridge and Nina Agdal.
Teigen became engaged to RnB singer/songwriter John Legend in December of 2011, after already having dated for seven years. The pair were married in Italy in September, 2013. Teigen has appeared in Legend’s 2013 music video for his single “All Of Me,” a song written about their relationship.

Although both incredibly famous, the couple have remained out of the limelight, until Teigen hit back at internet trolls. She has recently been quoted discussing her relationship with her husband, or, more precisely, their sex life. Teigen revealed, “We’re by no means freaky-deaky, but let’s just say, we’re open to things. We’re very okay with PDA. When we go to a restaurant, he loves when I wear a dress, so he can do some upper-thigh rubbing.” Yikes, we hope there’s a tablecloth to protect others in the restaurant from whatever ‘thigh-rubbing’ entails.
Teigen also revealed the pair did the nasty on a plane to Thailand, “We were under a blanket. We weren’t even in one of those pod things.” A little bit ewww, but we’re also pleased to see a celeb couple so obviously filled with desire after a decade together.
