Christina Ricci has admitted after some initial misgivings she now loves the girdle she has to wear for 'Pan Am'.
Christina Ricci loves how the girdle she has to wear for 'Pan Am' helps her body to move the right way.
The actress was initially reluctant to don the restrictive undergarment for her role as stewardess Maggie in the TV drama series - which is set in the 1960s - but admitted she has come to understand its advantages.
She explained to HELLO! magazine: "We've almost gotten used to wearing the girdles. They really help you to remember what hit was like for women. They are constricting but make you move your body the right way. Of course my character is always trying to figure out a way not to wear one."
After struggling with her body image for years, Christina, 31 - who battled eating disorder anorexia after she was catapulted to fame - is finally happy with her figure.
She said: "I decided to fight back to win out over that voice instead me that kept telling me to lose weight."
Speaking about her ordeal previously, Christina has said: "For years, I hated myself. I covered the Mirrors in my house. I literally couldn't have a mirror in my room."
