Chris Tucker Has Been Hit With A Lawsuit By A Former Colleague Who Alleges The Actor Has Not Paid Him For Work.
The Rush Hour star is set to release his first comedy special, Chris Tucker Live, on streaming service Netflix on Friday (10Jun15), but the stand-up show has been marred by a lawsuit from comedian Terry Hodges, who alleges he has not been paid by Tucker since 2011.
In the legal papers, filed against both Tucker and Netflix bosses, Hodges alleges he has been editing, writing and producing material with Tucker for the special since 2008, and he stopped receiving regular payments four years ago.
Hodges claims he is owed $66,000 (£41,250) and a co-producer credit on the show.
Tucker's attorney Marty Singer tells TMZ.com, "This lawsuit is absurd and completely without merit. We fully expect this case to be thrown out by the court."
