With a sell-out tour that spanned 46 separate dates in venues across the UK and Europe over the course of 2012, Chis Rea is returning to the UK this December for an 11 part tour. Said tour is in promotion for Rea's new album which is supposedly due for a September 2014 release date. The tour is set to begin in Manchester on 1st December, and end at the Hammersmith Apollo in London on 20th December, 2014. Also, Rea is scheduled to perform at the Montreux Jazz festival in July.
Chris Rea is best known for his hit 1989 album, 'The Road To Hell', as well as 1991's 'Auberge'. As well as this, Rea has released so many hits that his 2009 compilation - 'Still So Far To Go - The Best of Chris Rea' made its UK chart debut at the number nine spot. Some of his hits include 'Fool (If You Think It's Over)', 'On The Beach', 'Let's Dance' and 'Josephine'.
'Still So Far To Go' was aptly named, as Rea has released successful independent albums in recent years, including 'Dancing Down The Stony Road' (2002),'Blue Guitars' (2005) released on his own Jazee Blue Label and 'Santo Spirito Blues' (2011).
