Bindi Irwin may currently be in Los Angeles, rehearsing for ‘Dancing With the Stars, but her thoughts are with her family in Australia. The 17-year-old posted a moving Instagram post in which she remembered her father, Steve Irwin, on Australia’s Father’s Day.

The couple has been taken completely by surprise by the rumours that Pratt has eyes for his 'Passengers' co-star Jennifer Lawrence.
Faris, who has been married to the Jurassic World and Guardians of the Galaxy actor since July 2009, told Fox411 that the rumour “stung a little bit harder than I thought it would, I have always kind of believed that part of the rumours of celebrity couples were sort of true – because they had never been a part of my life. I thought, 'Maybe there is a kernel of truth to that.'”

With fans already getting excited about the 2018-dated 'Jurassic World' sequel, we remember five movie follow-ups that should never have been made.
Not all sequels are terrible - Toy Story, The Bourne Identity and Batman Begins all received excellent second (and third) instalments, for example - but sometimes a disastrous sequel comes along that nobody was asking for. Here are five of the worst.
1. Teen Wolf Too (1987)
This comedy didn't leave audiences howling
Nearly two months after its release, 'Jurassic World' is proving enduringly popular at the box offices, overtaking 'The Avengers' to become one of the 3 most commercially successful movies ever.
The box office performance of Jurassic World continues to go from strength to strength, with the news that the dinosaur blockbuster has overtaken The Avengers to become the third highest-earning movie of all time, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Featuring Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, and directed by Colin Trevorrow, it has now taken $1.522 billion at worldwide theaters in the six weeks since its release on June 12th. This nudges it very slightly ahead of the Marvel smash, which took $1.52 billion overall in 2012.

A group of male strippers and a Terminator weren’t enough to topple the mighty ‘Jurassic World’ at the box office this weekend.
Jurassic World continued its domination of the US box office this Fourth of July weekend, retaining the number one spot despite competition from Terminator: Genisys and Magic Mike XXL. But it wasn't just Jurassic World which managed to see off the two hot new releases, Pixar’s Inside Out also held its own, keeping the number two spot for a third week running.
There’s no stopping Jurassic World at the US box office.
Colin Trevorrow’s dino-epic used Independence Day weekend to surpass Avengers: Age of Ultron and enter the list of the top five highest-grossing films of all time, with a total of $1.385 billion. Now in it’s fourth week of release, the reboot of the Jurassic World franchise, which stars Chris Pratt, has so far taken $558.1 million in North America alone.
Who knew Chris Pratt was psychic?
As Jurassic World continues to roar at the box office it has emerged that star Chris Pratt might just have been hiding some psychic powers along with his acting talents. In a video filmed back in 2008 for ‘Parks and Recreations’’ second season DVD, the actor is seen joking about landing a role in the upcoming “Jurassic Park 4" movie.
Chris Pratt saw Jurassic World in his future.
"I just got a text message from Steven Spielberg. God, it’s so annoying,” the actor jokes in the backstage skit. “Sorry Steven, I was asked by ‘Parks & Recreation’/NBC to do behind the scenes. Which is to say, everyone else was asked and said no."
‘Ted 2’ proved to be no match for the mighty ‘Jurassic World’ at the box office this weekend.
Seth Macfarlane comedy Ted 2 failed to top the US box office this weekend, taking a disappointing $32.9 million and debuting in the number three spot. For the third week in a row Jurassic World managed to hold on to the number one spot as it added another $54.2 million to its haul.
Ted 2 failed to topple Jurassic World at the box office.
Ted 2’s box office total was around $15 million less than industry experts had expected. Back in 2012 the original film took the number one spot in its opening weekend, taking $54.4 million at the box office. The comedy sequel stars Mark Wahlberg and Amanda Seyfried and features Seth MacFarlane as the voice of the foul mouthed bear.

'Jurassic World' has made over $1 billion worldwide.
Jurassic World has taken over $1 billion at the worldwide box-office in just 13 days - faster than any other movie in history. The movie starring Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard took $106.6 million over the weekend - the biggest ever second week gross in North America.

The 36 year old blockbuster actor showed why the whole world loves him by taking time out to cheer the kids up.
Megastar Chris Pratt, who plays the dinosaur trainer and researcher who interacts instinctively with velociraptors in the current box office topper Jurassic World, has paid a visit to a children’s hospital in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to re-enact some of his scenes with patients.
A photo album shared by the Our Lady of the Lake children’s hospital shows snaps of the actor signing autographs and talking to the young patients by their bedsides and posing for photos with staff, in addition to re-enacting of the movie's most memorable scenes.

'Jurassic World' has held on to the number one spot in a huge weekend at the US box office.
Jurassic World has topped the US box office for the second time this weekend, taking a massive $102 million. The dinosaur action flick starring Chris Pratt managed to beat Pixar’s latest offering Inside Out in a very tight race, which saw the animation take $91 million in it's opening weekend.
Jurassic World is still on top of the US box office.
But while Inside Out might not have managed to take the top spot, it did give Pixar the second-highest opening weekend in the studio’s history. "Inside Out would have been number one in any other weekend," said Phil Contrino, vice president of BoxOffice.com. "At the end of the day, it doesn't matter. Being number one is overrated.”
Chris Pratt followed Nicole Kidman's lead on gender equality this week.
Chris Pratt says the key towards gender equality in Hollywood is to make movies that objectify men more. The Jurassic World actor - now one of the most in-demand stars in the world - said his physique and build had certainly helped him to land major roles.
Chris Pratt is a pretty downt to earth guy
"Never in a calculated way, but in hindsight, yeah," he said when asked if his looks won him roles in Hollywood, "It was a huge part of how my career has shifted is based on the way that I look, on the way that I've shaped my body to look."

Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt are set to team up in 'Passengers’ and their wages are as out of this world as the film’s plot.
Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt are set to co-star in a sci-fi romance, Passengers. The upcoming movie is reportedly in pre-production at Sony and will be directed by Morten Tyldum, the Oscar nominee best known for directing the Imitation Game.

Sony has reportedly greenlit the project, which carries a hefty price tag.
Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt, two of Hollywood’s hottest stars, are set to team for a new big budget movie set in outer space titled Passengers. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the movie has finally received the green light from studio Sony, but only after some big money negotiations.
Jennifer Lawrence will be teaming with Chris Pratt for Passengers.
The film is said to carry a price tag of $150m and will be one of the few original projects to get such financing from a big studio. In recent times studios have been reluctant to take such a financial risk with an original script and Passengers is one which has been in development for years.
The 'Jurassic World' superstar said that being abroad means he's too far away from his family for his liking.
Chris Pratt has revealed that he now has a clause in his contract that states he won’t shoot any of his movies abroad. This isn’t because he has a fear of flying or anything like that – he’s just a big softie, and wants to be close to his young family.
The Jurassic World actor and all-round flavour of the year told Entertainment Weekly Radio: “I don't wanna go across the Atlantic Ocean because it's just too far to go that way, and so far people have been accommodating.”

We still love dinosaurs more than zombies and robots - here's the proof!
The astronomical success of 'Jurassic World' just proves that dinosaurs aren't explored enough in film these days. Sure, people may be desensitised to the terror of the prehistoric monsters - at least, more so than they were in 1993 upon the arrival of 'Jurassic Park' - but this extraordinary re-telling has broken box office records.
Yep, kids are definitely not bored of dinosaurs
It has its criticisms and, of course, it doesn't quite have the same effect on audiences as its original predecessor, but 'Jurassic World' has successfully managed to cast some much-needed cinematic nostalgia upon the lovers of the Steven Spielberg classic, so much so that its opening has become the highest-grossing debut of all time.
Chris Pratt will be back for more 'Jurassic World' movies.
Chris Pratt has confirmed that he will be back for a Jurassic World sequel, joking that Universal Studios have him locked down to "38 movies". Jurassic World broke box-office records this weekend, taking over $500 million worldwide on the back of glittering reviews.
Jurassic World's star Chris Pratt has signed on for further sequels
"I am. They have me for I think 38 movies or something," Pratt told Entertainment Weekly when asked whether he would be back for another Jurassic movie.

The dino-themed movie is shattering records left and right this weekend.
Even before Jurassic Park dropped, we all knew it would be big. But just how big? The movie has surpassed all estimates and reached $511 million worldwide over its first three days in theatres. This makes the fourth Jurassic Park franchise movie the biggest global opener of all time, among other achievements.

It also devoured a number of domestic box office records with a $204.6 million take, the Rentrak media-measurement company estimated on Sunday. Internationally, the film's ticket sales reached more than $307 million, according to The Telegraph.
'Jurassic World' has knocked it out of the park, passing the $200million mark in its opening weekend in America.
We all knew it would be big. Bring back the Jurassic Park franchise after a gap of 14 years, add Chris Pratt and a fearsome new dinosaur into the mix, and push the Steven Spielberg connection (albeit as executive producer), and Universal has undoubtedly got a hit on its hands.
Chris Pratt: now one of Hollywood's most bankable stars
But it's not until after Jurassic World's opening weekend that anyone knew quite how big it would be. The film has debuted in the US with a whopping $204.6million, doubling the studio's original weekend estimate, Box Office Mojo reports.

The long-awaited fourth film in the 'Jurassic Park' franchise is smashing expectations at the US box office.
Dinosaurs ruled the earth 65 million years ago, and now they're ruling the box office, with Jurassic World making an estimated $82.8million in America by the end of Friday.

Being so well known for her comedy-dramas, Bryce Dallas Howard was faced with a whole new challenge when she took on 'Jurassic World'
Turning into an action movie star was a new thing for Bryce Dallas Howard, the actress better known for comedy-dramas like 'The Help' and '50/50'. But in 'Jurassic World' she dives right into the fray, all while wearing a white business outfit and high-heels.

To prepare for her role as park executive Claire, Howard trained with UFC champion Pete Williams, who was also her on-set driver. "He was so helpful," she says, "because as someone who is a professional athlete, he really knew how to take care of your body. And I was like, 'Hey man! I've got to do all this heel running, can you give me some tricks?' He was awesome, and really helped me."

Starting off as the loveable goof-ball in 'Parks and Recreation', Chris Pratt has gone onto take on two huge franchises - one in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and the other being the revamped 'Jurassic Park' series.
When filmmaker Colin Trevorrow cast Chris Pratt as the lead in 'Jurassic World', he had his doubts. At the time, Pratt was known only as that loveable goofball from 'Parks and Recreation'. "I really love improvisational comedic actors," Trevorrow says, "and you see them in my films again and again - Jake Johnson, Aubrey Plaza, Mark Duplass. So I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't bringing him in because that was a comfort zone for me. Ultimately we found something that certainly wasn't really improvisational and it isn't really that comedic. We found a real character."
Chris Pratt stars in 'Jurassic World'
Before filming 'Jurassic World', Pratt proved his action blockbuster chops in 'Guardians of the Galaxy'. His new challenge was to play an animal trainer who has a relationship with his dinosaurs. "That's a tough thing to accomplish, especially when a dinosaur is an animated character," Pratt says. "So I did some research. I got to hang out with some pretty awesome animal trainers. There was one guy who trains vicious animals like bears, tigers and lions. I went to his ranch, spent the day seeing him interact with these animals, and this was a big part of the posture that I adopted. I just wanted this to be real, to create an organic relationship between man and beast that is going to strike some emotional chord in people."

With studios afraid of anything new or original, it's not surprising that the dinosaurs are back on-screen nearly 15 years after the rather disappointing Jurassic Park III. The good news is that this film has a clever script and solid characters to go along with the first-rate digital work. So even if the effects kind of take over the movie in the final act, it's still a great ride.
The massive island resort Jurassic World has been running safely for a decade off the Costa Rica coast, so it needs ever-scarier attractions to bring in visitors. The owner Masrani (Irrfan Khan) has been instructing his top scientist (BD Wong) to genetically engineer a bigger, scarier species, and he's come up with a beast called Indominus rex. Park manager Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) has her doubts, but her velociraptor trainer Owen (Chris Pratt) is downright furious when he finds out. Sure enough, just as Claire's nephews (Ty Simpkins and Nick Robinson) arrive for a visit, the I-rex escapes and threatens the 20,000 visitors on the island.
The screenplay sets everything up in fine disaster movie style, with quickly explained back-stories to add some emotional undercurrents to the big-scale chaos. There's also, of course, a requisite villain in the form of the meathead Hoskins (Vincent D'Onofrio), who thinks dinosaurs could be used by the military and welcomes this catastrophe as a chance to prove his point. Thankfully, the cast dives in with gusto, adding hilarious personality touches to every scene. Pratt is terrific as the swashbuckling action-man, nicely set against the feisty Howard, who trumps him by doing all her action scenes in heels. Simpkins and Robinson have a lively adventure all their own that adds to the film's overall appeal. And there are superb side roles for the talented likes of Omar Sy, Judy Greer and Jake Johnson that add both humour and emotion.

He ponders if children want creatures with bigger teeth.
Has the dinosaur become boring? That's what Chris Pratt questions on contemplating the themes of his new movie 'Jurassic World'. Yes, the original 'Jurassic Park' remains a classic, but the question is whether kids today are still both terrified and enchanted by these prehistoric creatures.
Chris Pratt admits he'd love to see a real life Mosasaur
To the younger generation who are used to incredible computer graphics and enhanced horror on their screens, 'Jurassic Park' with its 90s fear factor and largely unconvincing animatronics (compared to what we have these days) may seem laughably unexciting - even if the parents still jump in terror at the scary bits. 'Jurassic World' is a brave attempt to re-capture that exhilarating cinematic experience.
'Jurassic World' star Chris Pratt talks about the themes explored in the new dinosaur movie, compared with what we saw in the original 1993 movie 'Jurassic Park'. Plus he reveals exactly which dinosaur he'd want to go and see first at the legendary theme park.
Colin Trevorrow takes over Steven Spielberg's original role as director in the film, which also co-stars Bryce Dallas Howard and Omar Sy among others. The movie sees the actual park on Isla Nublar officially open for business, but after a smooth ten years, they need something new to grip their visitors once again. Unfortunately, this turns out to be a major mistake.
'Jurassic World' is good. No need to worry.
Jurassic World has scored strong reviews and will look to do big business over the coming weeks
In the fourth instalment of the megabucks franchise, Visitors at the now 'Jurassic World theme park' run for their lives when the genetically engineered Indominus Rex and other dinosaurs go on a rampage. Sounds fun huh? Well, it is.

We're nearly halfway through a great year for big-budget movies and the best is yet to come.
Cast your mind back to 2014, a year in which US box-office takings fell by 5% compared to the previous year. There were many memorable films, from Oscar winners like Birdman to highly anticipated adventures like Interstellar.
Interstellar's $673million tally wasn't out of this world
But what 2014 lacked was a consistent stream of killer blockbuster titles. Sure, there was Transformers: Age of Extinction - 2014's biggest film - and The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies, the year's next highest-grossing movie. And superhero fans were well-catered for, with Guardians of the Galaxy topping a list that included Captain America, X-Men and Spider-Man.

If you close your eyes when listening to Chris Pratt you’ll think you’re in the Sugar Hut.
It feels like almost every week Chris Pratt does something new that makes us fall in love with him even more. But this week’s edition of ‘reasons to love Chris Pratt’ even managed to throw us for a loop, as we never thought we’d be praising the Jurassic World star for his spot on Essex accent!
Who knew? Chris Pratt does a pretty spot on Essex accent.
Appearing on BBC Two’s ‘The Graham Norton Show’ on Friday night, Pratt revealed a hidden talent that would be sure to leave even Joey Essex gobsmacked. Sitting next to Melissa McCarthy, Jude Law and comedian John Bishop, the hunky American actor explained he’d been watching ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ while filming in the UK.
The actor vows never to own a bike of his own.
Chris Pratt may be used to stunt work by now, following superhero epic 'Guardians of the Galaxy', but that apparently didn't make him any less nervous when it came to performing yet more stunts on the set of the new 'Jurassic World' movie.
Chris Pratt in 'Jurassic World'
Pratt plays Owen Grady in the movie; a motorcycle enthusiast and Velociraptor trainer; so of course, this meant he had one of the most stunt-heavy roles in the whole film. The only problem was, Pratt had serious reservations about some of the activity he had to shoot while astride a Triumph bike, and vowed to never take up riding away from his professional life.

Years after the horrific failure of John Hammond's Jurassic Park project, and him later taking the blame for the "incident" in San Diego, InGen has continued its research into the genetic creation of prehistoric creatures. InGen has succeeded in many of the places where Hammond failed, however, as Jurassic World opened to smash success. After years of success, though, visitors are starting to dwindle at the park, leading to the creation of a new genetically engineered dinosaur. This one is smarter, faster, and more dangerous than any of the previous creatures, but when it breaks out of its cage, the island is faced with a threat that the world has never seen before.
