Musicmaker MARKUS DRAVS was honoured with an early Brit award on Thursday (10Feb11), when rocker Chris Martin presented him with the Producer of the Year statuette.
The Brits don't take place until next week (15Feb11), but Dravs, who has worked with Martin's band Coldplay, was hailed for his work on Mumford & Sons' album Sigh No More and Arcade Fire's The Suburbs during the Music Producers Guild Awards in London on Thursday.
The Best Producer prize is traditionally announced ahead of the main Brits ceremony.
Other winners at the Music Producers Guild Awards included David Bowie collaborator Tony Visconti, and Mute Records founder Daniel Miller.
