Chris Martin was halfway through Coldplay's sold-out show in Miami on June 29, 2012 when he decided to leap into the crowd. However, the British rocker wasn't ready for some old fashioned crowd-surfing - he was looking for his wife Gwyneth Paltrow.
A video posted on YouTube shows Martin bolting from the stage and climbing into the tiered seating section of the American Airlines Arena to find his famous wife. In a rare moment of public affection, the couple embraced, with Martin stealing a kiss from Paltrow. The actress looked visibly surprised and a little embarrassed by the sentiment, covering her face with her hands as Chris raced back down to continue the gig. As shocked onlookers began taking photographs of the actress, a bodyguard next to her was seen waving his fingers, instructing gig-goers to leave the actress alone. After finally returning to the stage, Martin and his band performed their classic hit 'Clocks', before dedicating 'Yellow' to his "incredible wife Gwyneth", according to the fan-site Coldplaying.com. The band are midway through a U.S. tour, having performed in the UK and Europe.
Coldplay's fifth studio album 'Mylo Xyloto' became the UK's best-selling rock album of 2011, with 908,000 copies. The record has gone on to sell over 6 million copies worldwide. Singles 'Paradise' and 'Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall' received a total of three Grammy Award nominations.
