Paltrow spoke about the media perception of her, and about her 'conscious uncoupling' from Coldplay singer Chris Martin three years ago.
The 44 year old, who split from the Coldplay frontman after more than a decade of marriage back in March 2014 and coined the notorious “conscious uncoupling” phrase, is often accused of being out of touch, and her Goop wellness/lifestyle newsletter has frequently been the object of derision in the press.
However, Paltrow addressed this perception of her in a new interview with The Edit, saying that she’s the first to admit that she’s led a charmed life, but it hasn’t been all good.

Paltrow and Martin co-parent their two children, and get on well more than two years since they split.
Their now-infamous ‘conscious uncoupling’ happened over two years ago now and officially divorced as of July 2016, but Gwyneth Paltrow says that she and ex-husband Chris Martin still care very much about each other.
Speaking to InStyle magazine for its February edition, in which she graces the cover, the 44 year old actress and website owner spoke about how she and the Coldplay frontman co-operate and get on well in order to raise their two children, daughter Apple (12) and son Moses (10).
“To this day, Chris would take a bullet for me, even though I'm not his wife,” she said. “I honestly think Chris and I have contributed something positive to the culture of divorce.”

One very eager fan just couldn't keep their feelings for the Coldplay singer hidden during a show in Pittsburgh.
Coldplay frontman Chris Martin was taken aback by a fan during the band’s show in Pittsburgh, who explicitly asked the singer to have sex with them mid-show. Martin, who was formerly married to Gwyneth Paltrow, told the fan he’d have to take them for dinner first, adding that he felt like he was 15 again.

Everything seems clear on the Paltrow/Martin front.
Conscious uncoupling or not, there may still be hope for Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin – in the friendship department, at least. Multiple sources, including Us Weekly, report that the pair looked completely at ease with one another, when they attended the premiere of Hector and the Search of Happiness on Monday, July 28, in East Hampton.
Post-separation, Patrow and Martin are keeping things civil and even friendly.
The former couple reportedly stuck together throughout the event and the afterparty.
Poor Gwyn can't keep herself away from the tabloids' scorn.
Gwyneth Paltrow has yet again found herself in the midst of a sea of derision over comments she has made about...well, life. Obviously there was the whole "conscious uncoupling" debacle, then there was the time she compared her internet struggles to real life war and then the constant use of ingredients like "mint flavored liquid chlorophyll" in recipes on her lifestyle blog, Goop.
The latest controversy? It's another Goop goof: after Gwyneth used her blog to announce her split from Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, all eyes have been on her online journal for more developments. This time, the 41 year-old Iron Man star talks about "the energy of consciousness" and suggests that water may be a sentient element with feelings.
"I am fascinated by the growing science behind the energy of consciousness and its effects on matter," Paltrow writes. "I have long had Dr. Emoto's coffee table book on how negativity changes the structure of water, how the molecules behave differently depending on the words or music being expressed around it," she adds, citing the work of Dr. Sadeghi, an entrepreneur who has been widely criticized for his theories.

Chris Martin stuck around in Glasgow to help Kings of Leon kick off the Big Weekend's Day Two
Chris Martin has given Sunday fans at Radio One’s Big Weekend a special treat by making a special appearance, joining Kings Of Leon on stage to open the final day of the festival in Glasgow. The night before Martin and Coldplay had closed the first night of the festival, leading the crowd in a chorus of 'Fix You'.
Coldplay closed The Big Weekend's opening night
Martin added his guitar skills to the song ‘Fans’ from the bands 2007 album Because of the Times. The Nashville rockers then closed their set with a roaring rendition of 2008 hit ‘Sex is on Fire’ for the some 25,000 fans at the free music festival.
Chris’s ‘Ghost Stories’ of Gwyneth lead to Coldplay topping the UK album chart.
Coldplay on stage at Radio One's Big Weekend
Ghost Stories landing on means Coldplay are not only enjoying their sixth consecutive number one album, but now also have the fasted selling album of the year so far. Since last Monday, Ghost Stories has sold an impressive 168,000 copies, beating previous best seller Paolo Nutini’s Caustic Love which sold 109,000 in its first week in April. They’ve also managed to knock Michael Jackson’s Xscape down to the number two spot just one week after its release.
Has Chris Martin's personal life influenced his band's new record a little too much?
The release of Coldplay's sixth studio album, Ghost Stories, is imminent. We already know that the British indie rockers have embarked on a sleeker, more electronic sound for their new record thanks to singles 'Midnight' and 'Magic' but must turn to early critics to find out the verdict on the entire nine song collection.
The Release Of Coldplay's 'Ghost Stories' Is Just Around The Corner.
Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on whether you take the view that all publicity is good publicity), the new album will land at a time that is a little too close to the very public "conscious uncoupling" of Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and his wife, Gwyneth Paltrow.

Scott, who committed suicide in March, had dated Jagger since 2001. From the stage, Martin simply said: “This is for Mick Jagger.”
The song, which includes lyrics like: "When tears come streaming down your face/ When you lose something you can't replace/ When you love someone and it goes to waste/ Could it be worse?" made for a pointed tribute to the tragedy.

Chris Martin has opened up to Radio 1's Zane Lowe regarding his split from Oscar-winning actress, Gwyneth Paltrow.
Chris Martin has confirmed that his new single, Magic, was written about the breakdown of his relationship with Gwyneth Paltrow. The couple, who had been married for ten years, decided to end their marriage in March, announcing their “conscious uncoupling” on Paltrow’s website GOOP.
Chris Martin seems to imply that his split was Paltrow was his fault
For the first time since the split was revealed, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin has spoken out. In a Radio 1 interview with Zane Lowe, Martin seemed to imply that the split was his fault. Martin told Lowe, “What changed for me was - I don’t want to go through life being scared of it, being scared of love, being scared of rejection, being scared of failure. Ever since our band came out, we have been a very polarising group because we do a certain thing very well…About two years ago I was a mess really because I can’t enjoy the thing that we are good at and I can’t enjoy the great things about me because I’m burdened by this - I’ve got to not blame anyone else and make some changes.”

Yep, you heard right. Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin allegedly had an "uncoupling ceremony", what on earth does that mean?
So, Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin allegedly took their decision to ‘consciously uncouple’ one step further, if that’s even possible. The pair are said to have asked a Kabbalah Rabbi to officiate an ‘uncoupling ceremony’ for the pair, which took place during their ‘break-up-moon’ in the Bahamas. We’ll ask pretty much the same question here that we asked when Gwyneth announced their split on her website GOOP. What the heck is an ‘uncoupling ceremony’? It sounds like some sort of hippy exorcism.
Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin announced the end of their marriage two weeks ago
The rabbi supposedly officiated the ceremony, which the couple chose to have on a beach in the Bahamas. They were instructed to read from a sacred book, light a fire and throw stones in to the sea. The stones were meant to symbolise the solidity of their relationship, while throwing them in the sea represented their “wandering spirits”. We’ve got to admit, as crazy as it sounds, it also sounds pretty Paltrow, so we're sort of inclined to believe there's a bit of truth to it.

Amid rumours of affairs and planned family trips to the Bahamas, Chris Martin's father claims his son's split from actress Gwyneth Paltrow is "amicable".
Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin announed their split on Tuesday.
Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin don't even divorce like normal people, why have they chosen to "consciously uncouple" instead?
We have a sneaking suspicion that it was Gwyneth Paltrow, and not Chris Martin, who decided to label their separation a "conscious uncoupling". Why, you ask? Well, come on, it’s just a Paltrow thing to do.
Gwyneth Paltrow has labeled her divorce a "conscious uncoupling"
The couple have decided to split after over a decade of marriage. We have to admit, we are rather sad about the news, in the world of unexpected unions they stood for a bridging of normality and celebrity, although it turns out that the two worlds really were just too far apart. The pair released a statement, explaining, “It is with hearts full of sadness that we have decided to separate. We have been working hard for well over a year, some of it together, some of separated, to see what might have been possible between us, and we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate.”
The actress and the musician have announced their split after ten years of marriage.
Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin have shocked their fans by announcing their split after ten years of marriage. The news, which was announced via Gwyneth's lifestyle blog GOOP, is said to be the sad result after a year of trying to work it out. It is with hearts full of sadness that we have decided to separate," they wrote.

"We have been working hard for well over a year, some of it together, some of it separated, to see what might have been possible between us, and we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate," the Anglo-American couple added. They moved on to stress that they wouldn't fall out of each other's lives due to their need to be the best parents to their children, Moses, 7, and Apple, 9.
The celebrity couple, who publically announced their relationship as come to an end, reassured that they will remain close: "We are, however, and always will be a family."
Gwyneth Paltrow and her signing beau, Chris Martin, have called it a day on their marriage. The pair, who married in December 2003, made the announcement of their relationship coming to an end via the 41 actress's own website, Goop, on Tuesday (March 25th).

Kate Winslet has named her new baby son Bear Blaze, but some of these other celebrity baby names are even more out of the ordinary.
Children of celebrities never have to go to normal schools where the other children will make fun of their wacky names, which means that the stars can go wild when naming their pampered offspring. There must be schools in Beverly Hills teaming with Donatello Zeuses and Princess Bananaramas.
You don’t come across many Janes or Johns in the celeb baby world, but funnily there seems to be a few Bears going around at the moment. Kate Winslet and Alicia Silverstone both have sons called Bear, although to set mini Winslet apart his middle name is Blaze, as a reminder of the house fire that his parents first met in. Romantic. As a side note, Winslet's husband changed his own name to Ned RocknRoll, so we're not surprised that the couple have chosen a name that is a little less out of the ordinary.

The Brit rockers shared new songs from their upcoming 'Ghost Stories' album.
Last night, Coldplay took to the stage at Texas' South by Southwest Festival where they debuted new material from forthcoming album Ghost Stories alongside well-worn favourites. Support acts London Grammar and Imagine Dragons were big enough names for the crowd to pick out songs from each that they recognised but the former had the air of "evidently nervous musicians still working out how to feel comfortable commanding an audience," according to The Guardian's Tim Jonze.

Whereas Imagine Dragons "threw the kitchen sink at the audience in an attempt to make that vital emotional connection." Luckily for Coldplay, such effects come almost too naturally to the British rockers who seem to soundtrack every wedding first dance, graduation party, or Olympic triumph.

Coldplay pull a "Beyoncé" and y'know what, it's not bad at all.
Coldplay have suddenly and unexpectedly released a brand new single, 'Midnight,' and accompanying music video which launched on YouTube today. Graydon Carter compared the actress to the North Korean dictator following a controversy.
Graydon Carter, the editor of Vanity Fair, has lifted the lid on a monumental feud between his magazine and the actress Gwyneth Paltrow. According to Carter, issues arose when Paltrow threatened to boycott the magazine to prevent them from releasing an "epic take-down" piece that would have reportedly been image-damaging for the Iron Man star.
Gwyneth Paltrow Pulled The Curtains Down On A Vanity Fair Article About Her.
Carter likened Paltrow to the evil Korean dictator Kim Jong-Un after she was successful in influencing the magazine to run a less harsh piece in the December 2013 issue by demanding that neither her friends nor family should communicate with the magazine. "Not to bore you with the details," Carter writes via the March 2014 Editor's letter, "but the whole Vanity Fair - Gwyneth Paltrow brouhaha began innocently enough at a routine morning editorial meeting last spring," via Vanity Fair.

"I can't honestly say I make that, but I do make some Rice Krispies treats and hot chocolate. My best hostess tip is to have good food and really good music! We usually put on the Charlie Brown Christmas album. That's my favorite. And then we'll go to Bing Crosby and stuff like that."

Coldplay's Chris Martin thanks applauding fans as he sits down to his piano and begins to play his 2003 single 'Clocks' live at Hotel Café in Los Angeles. While playing the intro, he interrupts himself. 'Let me just preface this by saying I might be a little rusty on this one and I'm missing my band which is sad, y'know?' He tells the audience. 'I have to practise this because on Saturday I'm doing a concert in New York with Michael J. Fox for his Parkinsons charity and I get to play songs from 'Back To The Future' with him. Which is great for me because that's what got me into music and without that film there wouldn't be this song.'
Gwyneth Paltrow is the subject of an upcoming 'takedown' piece by Vanity Fair.
Vanity Fair editor-in-chief Graydon Carter has confirmed that his magazine is set to publishing a blockbuster takedown of actress Gwyneth Paltrow.
"We started a story on her," he told The Times in an interview published this weekend. "We have a very good writer and it'll run."
The Margin Call actress had previously emailed friends warning them not to cooperate with the author of the piece - which apparently reveals the 'true' Paltrow - though Carter and his writer appear to have more than enough information to run the piece. In fact, the actress's tantrum has made him even more determined to run the article, saying, "Well, she sort of forced my hand."

Gwyneth Paltrow's underwear will be the most talked about moment from the 'Thanks for Sharing' trailer - though the film could turn out to be pretty decent.
Ok so this happened. Watch out Britain, Gwyneth Paltrow could be bringing her Californian cuisine to your shores!
Gwyneth Paltrow says she is planning to open a healthy eating restaurant in London to bring some of her Californian cooking to UK shores. The Hollywood actress, currently starring as Pepper Potts in Iron Man 3, unveiled her business plan after trying out her techniques on husband Chris Martin, of British rockers Coldplay.
"I would make a Californian pop-up restaurant in London with all the healthy salads from the book and tuna burgers, salmon burgers and tacos," the Metro quoted her as saying. "He was focused on eating well to prepare for the tour, so I started developing these recipes. Nothing processed and nothing toxic, but still delicious. And that's how the book came about. It came out of a need in a very organic way."
The blonde actress recently came under fire after it emerged that she had banned her children, Apple, 9, and Moses, 7, from eating carbs, though she explains it isn't as draconian as many people assume, saying, "Sometimes the kids want a cookie and that's fine. But my son has eczema and gluten is really irritating to his skin, so when I can, I'll do quinoa pasta or risotto with brown rice, and I notice such a difference in all my family's health and mood and skin."

Chris Martin likes to cook in silence, so when he's out, the wife turns up the gangsta rap
Now, we all know that Gwyneth Paltrow is a good mother. We know this because she waxes lyrical about not feeding her children terribly nasty things like carbohydrates and such like and she writes books about her fastidious approach to feeding her sprogs. We also know this because she names her children after really healthy things, like Apples. However, in her latest interview with the Evening Standard, Gwyneth went to great lengths to explain that she is also a “bad mutha,” when she pleases.
Gwyneth explained that she takes the opportunity, when hubby Chris Martin (of Coldplay) is out of the house, to crank up the hip-hop and says she’s a dab-hand at rapping along with the genre’s finest. Chris prefers to cook in silence, it seems but that’s not Paltrow’s way. No sir. ““He can’t have background music on: it has to be 100 per cent of his attention. But if he isn’t at home, I turn on the hip-hop — I’m like a bad mutha rapping along to every word as I cook.” We’re struggling to imagine Gwynnie churning out verses like a gangster, so we’re just going to take her word for it, in the apparent absence of any YouTube proof.
Paltrow has just published a new cookbook entitled It’s All Good: Delicious, Easy Recipes That Will Make You Look Good and Feel Great. She makes it sound so easy (we’re not convinced).
The story of Belfast's "godfather of punk" is told with plenty of groovy style to match the 1970s setting, mixing the music with colourful locations and lively characters. But while the story is fascinating, the film itself is too cluttered and fragmented to resonate with anyone who isn't already familiar with the events.
As politics and religion rage against each other in late-1960s Northern Ireland, local DJ Terry Hooley (Dormer) rejects both sides to concentrate on the music he loves. His wife Ruth (Whittaker) loves it as well, but starts to worry when Terry catches the fire of the punk movement, which stands up boldly to society. Soon Terry is helping promote local bands through his Good Vibrations record shop, discovering the likes of Rudi, the Outcasts and, most notably, the Undertones and their mega-hit Teenage Kicks. Terry knows what he has with them, but is doing this out of passion for the music. Which means he never keeps enough cash for himself to pay his bills.
Filmmakers D'Sa and Leyburn follow Hooley closely through his rollercoaster life, from moments of high excess to more harrowing scenes as his business and marriage fall apart around him. The narrative bounces quickly through the decades, keeping the tone light while remembering the seriousness of the violent clashes in the streets and the darker emotional issues that keep coming to the surface. But Hooley is a happy-go-lucky guy, only barely aware that he is squandering his resources. And Dormer delivers a remarkably vivid performance as a funny and hugely likeable guy who prefers to help others instead of himself.

Gwyneth Paltrow has revealed how she would love to have another child, though fears she may be too old at 40. In the latest issue of InStyle magazine, Paltrow told good friend Diane Von Furstenberg, "My brain says, 'Oh I think I'm done, the kids are big now and I don't want to go back to changing diapers.' But a part of me would love to have another. Of course, I'm old now!"
Paltrow certainly looks younger than her years in the accompanying photo-shoot, wearing a pink Atelier Versace dress and a black Armani gown, amongst others. She already has two children with husband Chris Martin, Apple and Moses. She recalled, "When Apple was born she had the hugest blue eyes. I looked into them and she was looking at me, and I felt like, 'You are here to teach me everything.'After Moses was born, I had postpartum depression. It was a difficult time and because of that I believe I have an extra empathy for him and he for me." The Oscar winner - who has been married to the Coldplay frontman for nine years - also discussed their often tempestuous relationship, saying, "Artists are sensitive; there are ups and downs, mood-wise. Musicians need a certain gravitas and focus in order to write." So she's basically saying Martin is one moody husband, right?
Paltrow is currently shooting the Pablo Picasso biopic 33 Dias, with Antonio Banderas and Oscar Jaenada.

It looks as though One Direction want to shake up the tired old pop concert formula for their first world tour. The British boy band are reportedly hoping to have the magician Dynamo as their opening act, to make sure that their live shows really have the ‘wow’ factor. And it looks as though the band are really wanting to take control of their career and have told Simon Cowell that they want the final say on everything that happens on the tour.
Dynamo is right there at the top of the choice of support acts for the One Direction tour, according to The Mirror. The 29 year-old magician from Bradford apparently lives in the same block as some of the lads and they were mightily impressed with his ‘walking on water’ stunt on the Thames last year. “They’ve been blown away by what he does. They love his levitating tricks,” an insider said. It would certainly make a change from having yet another pop group warming up the crowd for them. What would be more impressive, though, would be if Dynamo (real name Steven Frayne) could teach One Direction to levitate as part of their act… though there may not be enough rehearsal time left to make sure that happens.
One Direction join a slew of celebrities that count themselves as a Dynamo fan. Chris Martin and Will Smith are already fans and he’s already levitated Lindsay Lohan before, too (perhaps he was trying to keep here away from the medicine cabinet). Fingers crossed that Simon Cowell lets the lads get their own way on this one.

To look at the life of Rodney is to look at a near-complete history of several decades of music. A shy kid from a broken home, Rodney left Mountain View, California, for Hollywood in the early 1960s and never really left. Quickly making himself at home on the Sunset Strip scene, Rodney surrounded himself with every kind of celebrity, especially from the music industry. One interviewee after another comments on his Andy Warhol-like blank demeanor that allows the famous and talented to see reflections of themselves. But there is also an eternally childlike innocence to him that was quickly picked up on: Cher, who practically adopted Rodney for a time with Sonny, talks about how you could just tell that Rodney never wanted anything from you, just to be there and absorb the glittery experience was enough. There's a sense of a kid trying to make up for his own fractured past with a famous family, and also just looking for someone to take care of him.

With Chris Martin now dating Gwyneth Paltrow, he decided that Coldplay could no longer perform his ballad to a former love.
Coldplay will not be playing their live favourite, 'Green Eyes', as frontman Chris Martin wrote it about a previous love and now it offends his current girlfriend Gwyneth Paltrow. Martin and Paltrow have been dating since 2002, so now the track about a former girlfriend has been replaced with the newer song 'Moses', which Martin has written specially for his 'Se7en' star girlfriend.
While giving a concert in Australia on Wednesday 16th July 2003, and had to explain to the 150 people attending all about his decision to drop 'Green Eyes' from their live set list. He discussed the decision, by saying that: "It's not about the right person. It's like an old pair of trousers, it doesn't fit."
