Chris Hemsworth's wife Elsa Pataky stood in for Natalie Portman's kissing scene with the Hollywood hunk in 'Thor: The Dark World'.
Spanish actress Elsa Pataky donned a wig and was styled to look like Natalie's alter ego, Dr. Jane Foster, for the final scene in the 2013 hit film, where she locks lips with male lead Thor - who is played by her husband Chris.
Natalie told the New York Daily News: ''It was for re-shoots [after the film was finished] and he was working in Hong Kong and I couldn't get there because I was working on my own film.
''And so they put his wife in my wig and costume - that's why it was so passionate.''
Rather than being upset she wasn't in the scene, Natalie was delighted with the result, and exclaimed: ''It was such a perfect solution, wasn't it.''
Elsa - who married Chris in 2010 and has 18-month-old daughter India-Rose with him - is pregnant with the couple's second child.
'Fast & Furious 6' star Elsa, 37, is due to give birth next spring.
