Frank Ocean says he was jumped by Chris Brown and "a couple of guys," in the car park of the Westlake Recording studio in Los Angeles on Sunday evening (January 27, 2013). Police were called to the premises, where Ocean was nursing an injured hand.

"Got jumped by Chris and a couple of guys. lol," Ocean tweeted, adding: "Cut my hand now I can't play with two hands at the grammys." According to, insiders close to Brown say Ocean started the brawl after blocking Rihanna's ex-flame in the car park. The Odd Future alum is alleged to have said "This is my studio, this is my parking spot," with "one of Frank's people," attacking Brown when he went to shake hands with Ocean. Clearly the account contradicts Frank's version of events, though police are currently investigating the incident.

It's not the first time the two singers have fallen out, with Brown accused of aiming a homophobic slur towards Ocean, who came out as gay earlier last year. Brown denied it, posting, "My Opinion on the whole Frank Ocean subject is ......... Love who u wanna love. It's ur decision. People stop searching for BS."

Ocean is nominated for six Grammy Awards, though the R&B star has suggested Channel Orange could be his final record. "It could be," he told the Guardian, "I don't ever want to be caught up in a system of thinking I can do one thing cos that's just . that's just telling yourself a lie."
