Chris Brown's Legal Representatives Are Planning To Seek Damages From A Man Suing The Singer After He Was Shot During A Nightclub Appearance In California Earlier This Year (15).
The Loyal hitmaker was hosting a show at the Fiesta nightclub in San Jose in January (15), when an unidentified gunman opened fire.
Five people were shot and injured, including Paul Briley, who has launched a lawsuit against Brown, alleging the singer failed to take adequate security measures during the gig.
He is seeking unspecified damages, but the 26 year old's representatives insist the lawsuit is without merit.
A statement from Brown's representative to HipHopWired.com reads: "It is a poor reflection of our society that violence is so prevalent and it is always a tragedy when someone is physically harmed. However this is a completely frivolous lawsuit.
"We expect that the case will be dismissed and in future, to avoid these reoccurring meritless lawsuits directed at Chris Brown, we plan to seek damages from all parties and their lawyers."
