Embattled singer Chris Brown is brushing off the "negativity" surrounding reports he was involved in a bust-up with R&B sensation Frank Ocean as he continues work on his new album.

The two stars and their entourages are said to have clashed following a dispute over a parking space outside the Westlake Studio in West Hollywood on Sunday night (27Jan13).

Punches were thrown between the rival groups, leaving Ocean with a cut to his finger.

Brown had reportedly left the scene by the time police arrived to break up the brawl, and no arrests were made. Ocean allegedly declined to press charges, but officials at the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department are still keen to question Brown over the incident.

The Kiss Kiss hitmaker has yet to officially address what happened, but he posted an Instagram.com photo of himself in the studio with pals hours later, with a caption which reads: "Working on my album. Not working on negativity. Focus on feeding ya family. Bulls**t will forever be in the shadows."

Brown, 23, is currently serving probation relating to his 2009 attack on his then-girlfriend Rihanna.
