Is Chris Brown’s Tattoo of Rihanna? Perhaps we’ll never truly know, though it’s certainly caused an almighty stir in the entertainment world. To recap, the 23-year-old singer has inked the face of a battered woman on his neck. This is a man who was convicted of battering Rihanna in a sustained and violent attack three years ago.
Chris Brown denies the ink is of his famous ex-girlfriend, though the face looks extremely familiar, with some suggesting it closely resembles the shocking photographs of Rihanna that were circulated following the attack on the eve of the Grammy Awards in 2009. Though he denied the Rihanna-connection through his representative, Brown himself tweeted to his followers on Tuesday night, “I'm an artist and this is art. Dia de los Muertos,” he said, referencing the Mexican Day of the Day. His spokesperson told E! News that the tattoo is a cross between “a sugar skull (associated with the South American celebration) and a MAC cosmetic design he saw”.
Chris Brown and Rihanna had a very public reunion at the MTV Video Music Awards last week, embracing after the latter had taken the award for Best Video. Their relationship has been an uneasy one for Rihanna’s fans to take, though it appears she has chosen to forgive Brown for the incident that made headline news around the world.
