Despite pleas from his alleged hit-and-run victim, the Los Angeles DA is looking to revoke his probation in the Rihanna beating case
The bad news keeps mounting for Chris Brown as the singer is looking more and more likely to face prison time for violating the terms of his probation in his Rihanna-beating case. According to TMZ, the Los Angeles District Attorney is looking to revoke his probation as punishment for in his ongoing hit-and-run case.
Brown could face prison time
TMZ states that the legal papers filed against Brown indicate that Brown will face jail time even if his hit-and-run case is dropped because he "willfully and unlawfully" broke the law, despite still being under the terms of his probation that strictly state that he will face prison time should he break the law at any point while still under the terms of probation. TMZ's report goes on to state that the D.A.'s documents asks the judge presiding over his hit-and-run case to revoke his probation and immediately place him in police custody - a standard request against probation violators - where he should stay until proven innocent (if he is proven innocent at all).
I did everything I was suppose to do during the so called hit n run, I provided the correct info. There were no injuries or damages. C'mon!!— Chris Brown (@chrisbrown) July 15, 2013
Chris has vehemently denied any wrongdoing in the hit-and-run case and has continually stated that he followed procedure and passed over the relevant information to the woman he crash into. The accuser in his hit-and-run trial is apparently feeling the pressure of Chris' potential jail time too, and has apparently gotten her lawyer to state that she in no way wants Brown to face jail time for his offence against her. Of course, that isn't her decision to make.
With the case still ongoing, it's too soon to say where Chris might be heading, but if he is found guilty of violating his probation then he could face up to four years behind bars - and that doesn't include whatever charges he may face in the hit-and-run case. This is what happens when you beat women.
He wont be smiling if found guilty
