Chris Brown (born Christopher Maurice Brown 05.05.1989) is an American rapper known for his Grammy Award-winning 2011 album 'F.A.M.E.' and his public trial for domestic abuse.
Net worth: According to Celebrity Net Worth in 2014, Chris Brown has a net worth of 30 million USD.
Childhood: Chris Brown was born in Tappahannock, Virginia, to Joyce Hawkins and Clinton Brown. Brown's parents were fans of Sam Cooke and Michael Jackson, leading to inspiration for their son. Brown began dancing when he was two years old, and at a young age he aspired for a career as a rapper. Brown began singing at the age of eleven, and was discovered by a talent agent when he was thirteen. Chris Brown moved to New York for his career, living there for two years.
Career: Chris Brown left school in 2004 at a young age, and began working in his debut album. On 29th November 2005, Chris Brown released his self-titled debut album, which opened at the number two spot on Billboard's 200 list. The album led to Brown winning Best New Artist and Best Contemporary R&B Album at the 49th Grammy Awards. Brown released his second studio album, 'Exclusive', on 6th November 2007. The album didn't achieve the same success as its predecessor, and received similarly mixed reviews. In December of that year, Brown embarked on The Exclusive Holiday Tour until February, where it ended in Hawaii. For his third studio album, Brown tried to emulate the style of singer like Prince and Michael Jackson who had inspired him in his youth. The result was 'Graffiti', released on 7th December 2009. While the album debuted at the seventh spot on Billboard's 200 list, it was critically panned with some critics calling it "bland" and some "insufferable". After the critical backlash to 'Graffiti', Brown set to work on 'F.A.M.E.' - his fourth studio album. It was released on 18th March 2011, debuting at the top of Billboard's 200, marking Brown's first number one album. Critical response was more praising, yet the album still only received moderate scores from critics. Just over a year later, Brown released 'Fortune' on 29th June 2012, again debuting at the top of Billboard's 200 list. Like 'Graffiti', however, the album was universally panned as "shameless" and "uncomfortable". Brown took two years to record 'X', his sixth studio album, which was released on 16th September 2014. The album reached number two on Billboard's 200 list, becoming the first album since 'Graffiti' to not reach the top spot. The album did, however, receive far more favourable reviews, with generally more positive critical response.
Personal Life: Chris Brown met Rihanna in 2005, and the couple began dating in 2008. On 8th February 2009, Chris Brown beat Rihanna after the couple got into an argument. After first denying the allegations, Brown later confessed to domestic abuse and making criminal threats, and was sentenced to a mere five years' probation, six months of community service, and a restraining order keeping him 50 yards from Rihanna. The verdict was met with backlash from Domestic Abuse activists, who stated that Brown should have been punished far more harshly for his crimes. The restraining order was later amended to allow Brown and Rihanna to attend awards ceremonies at the same time.
The former rap mogul is filing his own lawsuit from behind bars.
Earlier this week we revealed that Chris Brown was facing a lawsuit from his former manager Mike G for alleged assault, and now it seems his legal troubles aren't stopping there as imprisoned producer Suge Knight sues him for negligence after he was shot during an attack on a nightclub Brown was performing at in 2014.
Suge Knight takes out a lawsuit after shooting in 2014
Suge Knight is currently serving time behind bars for the alleged murder of Heavyweight Records co-founder Terry Carter in a hit-and-run incident last year, so you'd think he'd had enough of legal matters by now. However, he has taken the opportunity - while he's got his attorneys handy - to take out a lawsuit of his own against Chris Brown, blaming him for getting shot seven times during a pre-MTV Video Music Awards party in Los Angeles.
He's just asking to be sued! Literally...
Some of the celebrities whose naked likenesses made an appearance in Kanye West's new 'Famous' video have actually spoken out to assure the public that they are not, in fact, in the video. Y'know, just in case you genuinely thought George Bush and Donald Trump would ever get naked in bed together. West is very surprised he's not been sued yet, but there's still time.
Kanye West is waiting to be faced with a lawsuit. Or two. Or three.
In fact, former President of the United States George W. Bush actually seemed quite relaxed about the whole thing, though he did want to point out that the lookalike or wax figure or whatever was used was not representative of his current physique. 'In case there was any doubt, that is not President Bush. He is in much better shape', a representative for the former President told TMZ.

‘Famous’ was premiered live on Tidal, Friday (June 24) during West’s show at the Forum in Los Angeles.
Kanye West’s new video for ‘Famous’ might just be his most controversial and thought-provoking work yet. Visuals from the video premiered on Friday night and fans watching live on Tidal couldn't believe their eyes, as uncanny likenesses of celebs including Taylor Swift, Amber Rose, Bill Cosby and Caitlyn Jenner all appeared on screen completely naked.
Kanye West has unveiled his ‘Famous’ video.
Introducing the video West told the crowd: "I wanna thank Eli first of all who was in the project every day …I don't wanna give away how it all happened. I wanna thank all my family, my wife, and y'all supporting ideas and truth. I got one question though. Would you like me to play that back?”
He alleges that Mike was fired for theft.
Chris Brown is facing a lawsuit for allegedly assaulting his former manager Mike G during a drug-fuelled rampage just days before he began his European tour this year. Though while Mike G claims that the incident was an unprovoked attack, Brown has come forward to claim that he was actually fired for stealing from him.
Chris Brown sued for assault
Yesterday (June 23rd 2016), Mike G took out a lawsuit at the Los Angeles Superior Court to get Brown implicated for assault, false imprisonment, intention infliction of emotional distress and breach of contract, according to the report. He claims that he was 'brutally attacked' by the rapper on May 10th while the latter was under the influence of drugs and suffered injuries that required him to be hospitalized.
But according to the rapper police were ‘really nice about it’.
Chris Brown was stopped by police in Amsterdam on Friday (June 10) for riding a dirt bike without license plates. The rapper chronicled his run-in with the law on Instagram, first sharing a video of himself from inside the police station.

“So we’re in Amsterdam. We're in the police station," he said video. "We gotta pay this damn fine. Man, didn't have no tags. Bike life.” Brown then followed up with another video saying that the police had been ‘really nice about it’.

Chris Brown tweeted the first trailer of a new documentary movie about his life on Sunday night.
After more recent controversy, R&B star Chris Brown is trying to clear the air about the incident that earned him his reputation in the first place, when he assaulted ex-girlfriend Rihanna the night before the 2009 Grammys.
The 26 year old singer will feature in a short biographical movie later this year called ‘Welcome To My Life: the Official Chris Brown Documentary’, the first trailer for which debuted on Sunday night. In it, Brown can be heard referring to the incident and admitting that he was contemplating suicide in the aftermath of all the negative publicity directed at him in the aftermath.
After the R&B singer reportedly tried to kill herself this week, Brown (who is friends with her ex-boyfriend) scored another PR disaster.
Despite his recent efforts, it seems as if Chris Brown simply can’t keep himself away from controversy, this time whipping up a social media storm after he mocked R&B singer Kehlani, who reportedly attempted suicide on Monday.
Brown is friends with the singer’s NBA player ex-boyfriend Kyrie Irving, fired off a series of tweets on Tuesday (March 29th) attacking the Grammy-nominated singer, who is currently in hospital and reportedly on psychiatric hold having attempted to kill herself the previous evening.

Brown reckons that Bieber will alienate Selena permanently if he keeps flirting with her while going out with other women.
The 26 year old R&B star, whose relationship with Rihanna collapsed amid allegations of domestic abuse, thinks that the 22 year old Canadian star should learn from his mistakes and stop flirting with his ex-girlfriend Selena at the same time as romancing other women, or he’ll lose her permanently.

Brown has been accused of striking Liziane Gutierrez at the weekend outside a party in Las Vegas, and has now responded.
After being accused of punching a woman last weekend, R&B star Chris Brown has responded to the allegations, claiming in turn that she has a history of making accusations against stars who anger her, once taking aim against Jason Derulo for refusing to take her to an afterparty.
The controversial hitmaker was said to have punched Liziane Gutierrez in the early hours of Saturday morning (January 2nd) in Las Vegas, but Brown has now responded to her accuser and says that she makes things up if celebrities refuse to indulge her.

Brown's 'One Hell of a Nite' tour in Australia and New Zealand was due to start next week.
R&B star Chris Brown has been left with no choice but to cancel his upcoming tour of Australia and New Zealand after being denied an entry visa, a decision stemming from his previous conviction for domestic violence against former girlfriend Rihanna.
The One Hell of a Nite tour had been due to take in five cities across both countries from December 9th to December 18th, but his failure to overturn the initial decision taken by Australian immigration minister Peter Dutton in September means that he’s been forced to postpone the shows.
