An old acting role is paying off for CATHERINE ZETA JONES - she's still receiving royalties from the TV show that made her famous.

The Welsh Chicago actress will pick up $6,000 (GBP4,000) in repeat fees from re-runs of each episode of her breakthrough drama series THE DARLING BUDS OF MAY.

The gentle 1950's set show made her a star in the UK in the early 1990's, but worldwide fame eluded her until she moved to Hollywood later in the decade.

Now an OSCAR-winning multi-millionaire married to Hollywood royalty Michael Douglas, Catherine will receive the money as the shows are repeated on British terrestrial television.

A source tells British tabloid THE DAILY MAIL, "Catherine will not even notice a change in her bank balance."
