GIRLS ALOUD singer Cheryl Tweedy has fired back at Charlotte Church's scathing attacks on her pop group, labelling the Welsh singer "a nasty little piece of work with a fat head".

English beauty Tweedy, whose group was manufactured on TV talent show POPSTARS: THE RIVALS, first began criticising Church when she released her debut pop album TISSUES AND ISSUES saying Church was using their old sound.

Church slammed the group, saying, "Girls Aloud wouldn't be able to sing CRAZY CHICK if they possibly tried. They just don't have the range, darling. And when they've sold as many records as me, then they can comment."

And now Tweedy has hit back, adding criticism for Church's rugby ace boyfriend Gavin Henson.

Tweedy scathes, "Her publicity stunts slagging everyone off haven't worked. I don't know who her and her scabby boyfriend think they are.

"He's a posing idiot who looks like a girl. And she's not even gorgeous."
