‘X Factor’ judge Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has spoken out, after she was accused over the weekend of cheating on ex-husband Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini with current boyfriend Liam Payne. Cheryl and Liam were thought to have begun their relationship in December, at the same she began divorce proceedings from Jean-Bernard. But a source told The Sun on Sunday (April 17th) that the couple's romance could have begun as early as October.

On twitter Cheryl wrote: “If anybody believes the shit they're reading today you really don't know me at all.” The singer’s boyfriend Liam Payne also showed his support, by retweeting a message from a fan which read: “Cheryl's the most selfless and kindhearted human you will ever come across in your life. I just don't understand why people are so cruel.”

Cheryl’s denial comes after The Sun published a story claiming that Cheryl’s ex Jean Bernard believes she began her relationship with Liam while they were still together. A source told the newspaper: “JB has been told that Cheryl was actually seeing Liam in October - two months before they officially split.”

“The information comes from people at the X Factor. JB was desperate to save their marriage and is absolutely furious. He is still taking in what he has been told. But he hasn’t made any decision about whether he intends to throw this claim into the divorce .”

“He already feels wounded by the split, and her decision to begin dating Liam when she did. This is not going to make him any better disposed towards her.” However a source close to Cheryl denied the claims, telling The Sun: “Jean Bernard's info about when Cheryl and Liam started their relationship is incorrect.”

But The Sun also reports that Jean Bernard has taken a dig at his ex on Instagram, posting a message about the 'truth coming out'. "I never seen anybody standing up and defend me. I guess because it wasn't in their interest,” the 35-year-old reportedly wrote.

"And now suddenly when the truth always come out, certain people that love to say that they don't comment on their private life can't help themselves but to justify themselves which for me seems even more strange.” The caption was posted alongside an image of an archway made out of red roses.
