Cheryl Cole and boyfriend Tre Holloway have split putting the end of their romance down to the the difficulties in having a long-distance relationship.
Cheryl Cole and Tre Holloway have split.
The pair ended their relationship almost two months ago because time apart was making it difficult to cope as the brunette beauty is based in the UK while the 28-year-old dancer spent much of his time in Los Angeles.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: ''Cheryl and Tre had a brilliant year together but the pressures of long-distance dating eventually became too much.
''Although Cheryl does a lot of work in America, often it is in New York, which is still a good six-hour flight away. The time difference, plus the hectic nature of Cheryl's working schedule, eventually took their toll.
''Cheryl realised that if they weren't going to live together, realistically, the relationship, just wasn't going to go anywhere.''
Cheryl and Tre are on good terms as they ended things amicably and were spotted out together with a group of friends last week at Sushi Samba, which is located at the top of the Heron Tower in the City of London.
The source added: ''Despite splitting up in the summer, they met up for dinner last week just as mates and they had a great time. They remain incredibly fond of one another and their families are also still very close and in regular contact.''
Cheryl was previously married to soccer star Ashley Cole whom she split from in 2010 after which she embarked in a relationship with Tre in summer 2012.
