Cher is stunning fans in Las Vegas by literally beaming herself up onstage at Caesars Palace.
The pop diva has just kicked off a residency at the Colosseum venue, which was built for Celine Dion's A New Day shows - and she's opening the show with a hologram.
Just before Cher hits the stage from a cage that hangs above the audience, a 3-D hologram of the singer appears in front of fans.
One devotee, who caught the singer's debut on Tuesday night (06May08), says, "It's a magical moment - you actually think you're looking at Cher onstage and then she appears in a cage above you."
And the early reviews are looking good for the singer.
Reports suggest the 61-year-old performs 17 songs and changes costumes 16 times. The highlight of the show, according to many fans, comes when Cher sings her smash-hit If I Could Turn Back Time, wearing the revealing black outfit and wig she wore in the video accompanying the song.
Cher will perform four nights a week at the Colosseum for a month before returning for more dates in August (08).
