Cher wishes she had heeded doctors' advice to take a break from dancing after she injured her foot because she is now facing a painful operation to fix the damage.
The Believe hitmaker crushed a bone during a workout several years ago, but ignored expert opinion and returned to the stage while the injury was healing.
She has suffered foot problems ever since and had to cancel a number of shows in Las Vegas in May (10) when the injury flared up.
The 64-year-old pop superstar has now booked in to undergo surgery after her residency at Caesars Palace ends in February (11) and admits she should have listen to her doctors at the time.
She tells Britain's You magazine, "Oh, (ageing is) a major pain in the a**. I crushed a bone in my foot years ago at the gym - I danced on it soon after and the doctor said, 'You're going to pay for this later' and now I am.
"I have an operation (booked) in March... I'm just going to keep going and pray for the best."
