Simon Cowell's pop protegee Cher Lloyd has been left devastated after her debut single leaked online, telling fans she has "never been this upset ever".
The up-and-coming singer shot to fame as a contestant on U.K. reality show The X Factor last year (10) and landed a record deal with Cowell's Syco Music label despite finishing fourth in the TV competition.
Lloyd, who has been recording her album with Black Eyed Peas rapper will.i.am, was furious after learning an unfinished version of her forthcoming track Swagger Jagger surfaced on the web on Tuesday (14Jun11).
The 17 year old took to her Twitter.com page to vent her frustration, writing, "I've never been this upset ever! I worked so hard, and people wanna ruin it for me. If you wanted to hurt me, you've done a great job. Please don't do this to me. I wish I was at home with my family, I've been through enough this year."
A spokesperson for the star adds, "This early demo is not a finished version of the track and is unrepresentative of the final version, which has changed. Cher and Syco Music ask fans to wait for the official premiere."
