However, Dean has other things on his mind; he wants to be a professional car racer and is already a champion on his local circuit. He is determined to prove his sceptical father wrong by reaching the racing heights of ARCA and NASCAR. Henry, meanwhile, faces big business troubles when his farm is investigated by GMO corn company Liberty Seeds; his whole career hangs in the balance, but he must learn that if he doesn't change the way he is, it won't be the only thing he loses.

At Any Price Trailer

Henry Whipple is an ambitious farmer with high hopes for his promising agricultural family business. His son Dean, however, wants to be a professional racing driver and already looks set to be a huge star with his sport earning him numerous awards. With the Whipple business under threat of breaking down with no heir to carry it on, tensions arise in the household as Henry struggles to put his family's interests before the welfare of his company. Things get even more serious when crisis arises in the business with the threat of exposure that could cost him and his family everything they have including each other.

'At Any Price' is an intense family drama directed and co-produced by Ramin Bahrani ('Goodbye Solo', 'Man Push Cart', 'Chop Shop') following his research into technologically-advancing agricultural businesses in the American Midwest. He also co-wrote the movie with Hallie Elizabeth Newton in her screenwriting debut. It is set to be a touching flick challenging the ethics of these businesses and questioning the happiness of the families involved and has so far been screened at the Telluride Film Festival, the Toronto Film Festival and the Venice International Film Festival. It will be released in cinemas later in 2013.

Trouble With The Curve - Trailer Trailer

Gus Lobel is one of the most formidable baseball talent scouts around, however his age starts to fail him in his career as his eyesight deteriorates and he is unable to focus properly on the Atlanta Braves games he goes to watch. Worried about his health and career, his long-time boss and good friend enlists Lobel's daughter to accompany her father on what is to be the last talent scouting trip of his career. The Dilemma Review

Grim
A lack of focus leaves this film neither funny enough to be a comedy nor astute enough to be a drama. Although it's clearly trying to be both, there's nothing about the story or characters that grabs our attention.

Best buddies Ronny and Nick (Vaughn and James) are trying to get their business off the ground, creating muscle-car effects for electric vehicles. One day Ronny spots Nick's wife Geneva (Ryder) kissing another man (Tatum). He's afraid to tell Nick because they're bidding for their first big contract. And he can't tell his own girlfriend Beth (Connelly), because he's planning to propose. So he confronts Geneva, who tells Ronny that her marriage is complicated. So what should Ronny do next?

The Gift Review

Grim

Warning: This review begins with a wildly off-subject tangent.

O, woe! What hope can we have for director Sam Raimi's 2002 "Spider-Man" movie now that he has made two utterly conventional Hollywood flicks in a row?

Once a tongue-in-cheek sovereign of campy cult classics like "Evil Dead 2," "Darkman" and "The Quick and the Dead" -- not to mention the producer of TV's uber-campy "Xena" -- Raimi went straight two years ago with the chilling psychological thriller "A Simple Plan." Then last year he went soft with "For Love of the Game," a middling, maudlin baseball romance starring Kevin Costner.
