Screen beauty Charlize Theron agreed to star in the remake of THE ITALIAN JOB - even though she'd never heard of the classic original.
South African-born Theron confesses she was blissfully ignorant of the 1969 Michael Caine movie when approached to appear alongside Mark Wahlberg and Edward Norton in the new movie - and she only signed to take part because it meant working with Wahlberg again.
Theron says, "Mark and I remained really good friends after working together in the film The Yards.
"When The Italian Job came around he knew he was going to do it, so he called me and said it could be fun for us both to do.
"I guess there are very few actors that I've worked with that I would like to work with again."08/09/2003 13:38
