Gorgeous South African actress Charlize Theron hates reading about the traumatic details of her childhood - because it trivialises the real horrors.

The THE ITALIAN JOB star's mother killed her alcoholic abusive father when Charlize was just 15. And she admits that reading about it in interviews lessens the true impact of the event.

She says, "Reading about it is painful because it comes across so nonchalant. Then once you get past that, you feel responsible because it's not just about you.

"I could get over it if it was just me but there are other people involved that don't deserve to have their lives out in the open that way."
