Country star Charlie Daniels is recovering after undergoing a surgical procedure to repair his eyesight.
The Devil Went Down to Georgia hitmaker has struggled with poor sight ever since the age of seven, when a childhood fever left him visually-impaired.
After developing cataracts in both eyes, the 75 year old underwent Smart Eye Surgery in Tennessee last week (begs02Apr12) in a bid to improve his overall condition, and it appears Daniels is already bouncing back from the invasive operation - he lent his voice to Easter Sunday services at a church in Murfreesboro at the weekend (08Apr12).
A post on the star's Twitter.com account page reads, "Even double cataract surgery couldn't keep Charlie from performing at World Outreach Church's Easter Celebration."
Daniels is due to return to the stage on Friday (13Apr12) for a gig at the Shooting Star Casino in Minnesota.
