TWILIGHT newcomer Charlie Bewley found it tough to make friends with the close-knit cast - insisting it took his famous co-stars a long time to accept him.
The Brit actor plays a vampire in upcoming sequel The Twilight Saga: New Moon, a role which saw him act alongside the franchise's superstar leads Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.
But Bewley confesses that due to the huge interest in the film's stars, he struggled to feel accepted in the Twilight clique - because they are constantly "on their guard".
He says, "It's a very young crowd. They are very talked about . So they're on their guard a lot of the time. It's just human nature for it to take time for everyone to gel, to bond and (for them) to suss people out."
But things soon thawed after shooting began: "After two or three days of shooting, I was starting to get a lot warmer with some of the people I had not met before ... they are really cool people, wonderful people."
