Chantelle Houghton is ''petrified'' of giving birth.
The reality TV star and partner Alex Reid will welcome their first daughter into the world in the coming weeks and though the blonde beauty can't wait for her pregnancy to end, she is not looking forward to labour.
She said: ''I'm so close to giving birth now and
I've been in a lot of pain because the baby's legs seem to be pushing against my hip bone.
''On top of that, I'm tired and I feel quite sick all the time! I know that I'm nearing the end because my tummy keeps going rock hard.
''I was convinced I was going to give birth the other night. I woke up at 3am and thought, 'This is it.' I was boiling hot and felt sick. I was so tired, I was thinking, 'Please, just one more
night's sleep and I'll do it tomorrow!'
''I must admit, I'm petrified. I told the midwife I don't feel mentally prepared and she said, 'I've
been worried about you because every time I mention the birth, you go all bleary-eyed and quiet!' ''
Despite her fears, Chantelle is optimistic about having a quick labour.
She added in her column for new! magazine: ''My mum told me I was born within an hour, so I'm hoping my little girl takes after me and comes quickly!''
