He'll hit Manchester and London with Snakehips this summer.
Chance the Rapper is returning to the UK this summer with two headline dates lined up in addition to his various festival appearances. There's no details on any further UK performances, so you best get to these shows while you've got the 'chance' (sorry).

The song might just be the anthem of a generation. And it's released independently.
Ok, let’s talk about Chance the Rapper and No Better Blues, because that’s what you’ve been listening to all day anyway. And if it isn’t… why? Chance and The Social Experiment just released the track via SoundCloud this past Thursday. Besides being a really cool song (I’ll get to that part) No Better Blues also represents another steps in creators’ efforts to get their work straight to the people, skipping industry middlemen. Since CtR and The Social Experiment posted the link to their Twitter, the track has reached No. 2 on the network’s Trending 140.
Chance the Rapper is trying another unconventional avenue for music distribution - direct SoundCloud download.
The release is part of Twitter’s not-quite-thriving music service, so users can listen to it without even leaving the page/app. On Thursday, the social-media giant announced Twitter Audio Cards, which will allow listeners to listen to audio directly from their Twitter timelines with one click. Users can then dock the song in the corner and continue playback as they browse inside the mobile app.
Nick Offerman has directed a music video for Tweedy.
He's best known for playing the grumpy breakfast loving Ron Swanson on NBC's 'Parks and Recreation', but Nick Offerman has turned his hand to another profession: music video director. He's overseen the delightfully weird video for Tweedy's song, 'Low Key', which also features a host of celebrity cameos.
It's a different gig for the actor, usually seen in front of the camera
Tweedy is the latest project from Wilco frontman Jeff Tweedy, comprised of himself and his son Spencer Tweedy. 'Low Key' is the first single from their first album, 'Sukierae', and the offbeat video shows them going door-to-door in attempts to sell their record to disinterested members of the public. Man of Steel actor Michael Shannon features as the assistant of the record label boss, whilst Melissa McCarthy, Conan O'Brien, Andy Richter and Chance the Rapper feature amongst the bemused homeowners who are visited by the band. There's also a very strange twist at the end of the video, but we won't ruin the surprise!

Budweiser Made in America

When Jay-Z embarked on his Budweiser Made in America project, the ethos he wanted to represent was simple; bringing together bands and artists of all genres to celebrate the rich variation that has become the US musical community. And where better to enjoy this multi-genre theme than Denver, Colorado, home to the likes of everyone from gentle folk rock crooners The Lumineers to industrial Goth collective Velvet Acid Christ?
We're no detectives but...
Childish Gambino and Chance the Rapper have piqued the interest of their fans after a tweet from one of the rappers gave away that the pair could be working on a collaborative EP. Childish Gambino tweeted "now that chance finally released his verse on "worst guys", maybe he can hurry up and finish the rest of our EP #hinthint."
The day after Chance debuted his unreleased verse for Gambino's 'The Worst Guys,' the 'Heartbeat' star took to Twitter to tease their fans with word of a possible joint release. There is no word on when the project will arrive, but hopefully Childish's nudging will see things moving in the right way as soon as possible.
Having seen Chance's name on Gambino's Because The Internet song, it was naturally assumed that the Chicago hip hop star would be featured in a verse until fans realised that all they'd be getting was a hook. However, performing yesterday at the Governor's Ball, Childish welcomed Chance onstage to perform the previously-unheard lyrics from the track.

A drug overdose has been announced as the likely cause of death.
After the death of Chicago music pro DJ Rashad (real name Rashad Harden) made news over the weekend, condolences have been pouring from artists from the local music scene, as well as the music business at large. The 34-year-old musician was found dead on Saturday afternoon in a West 21st Street apartment, Chicago Police spokeswoman Janel Sedevic confirmed Sunday for the Sun-Times. The presence of drugs and drug paraphernalia around the body led the police to suspect an overdose as the likely cause of death.
DJ Rashad was on the verge of a career breakthrough.
At 34, Harden was on the verge of a career breakthrough with his new EP, We On 1. His fifth studio album received some glowing reviews and his music was getting play in clubs and on radio stations across the world. Rashad was also going to perform several club gigs outside of the US. The genre he performed was called footwork. Named for the fast-paced dance moves associated with it, footwork incorporates fast bass lines, synths and chopped up samples of rap, R&B and pop songs. Footwork originated in Chicago about a decade ago and has recently started entering the festival and club circuits.

The Chicago-born musician was on the verge of a career breakthrough.
House music legend and footwork icon DJ Rashad – real name Rashad Harden – has been found dead on Chicago’s South Side. Harden’s body was found Saturday afternoon. According to the police, drugs and drug paraphernalia were found around the body. This has lead the police to believe that Harden’s death was caused by an overdose, according to Chicago Sun-TimesThe. An autopsy was performed today, but the results are yet to be released.
The tragic news came just days before the release of Harden’s new EP – “We On 1”. He was on the brink of a long awaited career breakthrough earlier this year. With a fifth album that was his best reviewed of his career behind him, he was scheduled to play club dates across the world.

When people think of Spring in New Orleans, most are looking forward to the annual Jazz Festival - something that the city has arguably become all about, music-wise. However, an equally astounding event also made its mark this month; the Buku Music + Art Project. This is most certainly a one of a kind festival offering astounding musical line-ups, great food and breath-taking artwork along with a range of other on-site activities.
Justin Bieber makes a bid to boost the confidence of his fans in his new video. And he dances a lot.
Amidst all the turmoil, the controversy and the arrest, Justin Bieber has also done that thing that pop stars like to do sometimes – he’s released a new video. The track is a collaboration with Chance the Rapper and admittedly has a pretty catchy beat. The video features some of Justin’s favorite thing – a pretty young woman, a club, choreographed dancing and the kind of car that tends to get the Biebs into trouble.
In between getting arrested and not giving a monkey's about being arrested, Justin even had time to release a video.
The song was released last month as the tenth and final video in Bieber’s Music Monday series. The video, directed by Colin Tiley, has an early Justin Timberlake feel to it, in that there’s a lot of dim lighting, smoke machines and a little friendly stalking of the potential love interest. Also does anyone else think the Confident video reused the club set from Justin Timberlake’s Senorita video from 2003? No?
