Chad Ochocinco – CHAD OCHOCINCO, the American NFL star and former contestant on Dancing With The Stars, says he plans to change his last name back to ‘Johnson’. The 33-year-old Cincinnati Bengals adopted the nickname ‘Ochocinco’ back in 2006 and made it his official name two years ago, however, he says he is now ready to return to his original surname.
‘Ochocinco’ means ‘eight and five’ in Spanish and Chad made the change to reflect the number that he traditionally wears on the back of his football jersey. However, speaking this week on ESPN’s ‘NFL Live’ show, Chad said, “I’m changing my name back to Johnson. I don’t have a choice right now. I’ve done enough with the Ocho thing. It was fun”. The NFL star was a contestant on season ten of DANCING WITH THE STARS during the Spring of 2010 and he and partner Cheryl Burke eventually placed fourth. Ochocinco also starred in his own VH1 reality dating show named ‘Ochocinco: The Ultimate Catch’.
Back in November 2010, it was reported that the NFL star had got engaged to television personality Evelyn Lozada after dating for just four months. Lozada tweeted a message at the time that read, “I'm no rabbit but 10 carats looks good on me!! Let the hating begin”.
