The pair performed 'Rockstar' at a Nickelback gig in LA.
You might not like Nickelback's music, or Avril Lavigne's for that matter, but you still can't deny that her appearance with her ex-husband on stage in Los Angeles at the weekend was nothing short of adorable. We love it when ex-couples can remain good friends.

It's been two years since 32-year-old Avril and 42-year-old Chad separated after just two years of marriage, but their situation is clearly still amicable judging by the fact that the band invited her on stage with them for a rendition of 'Rockstar' at the Greek Theatre in LA.
Nickelback are a ''guilty pleasure'' because they're not a ''cool indie'' band like Arcade Fire, according to frontman Chad Kroeger.
Nickelback see themselves as a ''guilty pleasure''.
He told Canada's CBC Radio: ''We're not a cool indie band, we're not Arcade Fire. They're critics' darlings. You're supposed to like those bands because they're hip, they're indie and cool. You're supposed to like them as a critic. I don't think you're supposed to like us.

Avril Lavigne has hit out at Mark Zuckerberg for mocking her ex-boyfriend Chad Kroeger.
Avril Lavigne has lashed out at Mark Zuckerberg for ''bullying'' Nickelback.
The 32-year-old singer may have split from the band's frontman Chad Kroeger last year but that hasn't stopped her jumping to his defence when the Facebook founder mocked the group in a video about his home A.I. assistant Jarvis, voiced by Morgan Freeman.
Taking to her Twitter account, she said: ''Dear Mark, Many people use your products - some people love them and some people don't. Either way, you're allowed your musical opinion however, your jab at Nickelback is in poor taste. When you have a voice like yours, you may want to consider being more responsible with promoting bullying, especially given what's going on in the world today. #SayNoToBullying #TheJokeIsOld #NickelbackHasSoldOver50MillionAlbums (sic).''

The musical couple got engaged in August 2012 after only a month of dating, and wed in July 2013. Earlier this year Lavigne gushed on Twitter about the massive ring her husband presented her with in celebration of their one year anniversary, but it looks like there might be trouble in paradise. Us claimed that a source told them "It's over, he has been going around L.A. telling people that they are divorcing."

There are many problems with Avril Lavigne's new song "Hello Kitty", but a racist music video isn't one of them.
There’s been a lot of criticism of Avril Lavinge’s latest music video for her single “Hello Kitty.” The video sees Lavigne prancing around in a tutu skirt with a gang of Asian girls dancing behind her. The 29 year old rocker has been accused of “fetishizing” Asian women, as well as making a “caricature” out of them. The Huffington Post went so far as to practically order Avril to stop using Asian women as “props”.
Lavigne's husband Chad Kroeger penned her new track
Now, we’re going to have to disagree on this one. It’s a bit of an overreaction when you consider Gwen Stefani’s regular use of the Harajuku girls and even more so when you take into account Avril’s defence. If you could call it that, it’s essentially a tweet which reads, “RACIST??? LOLOLOL!!! I love Japanese culture."
Is Avril Lavigne's video for 'Hello Kitty' really racist?
Avril Lavigne has fought back against the critics who have labelled her music video for Hello Kitty racist. The colourful video features the 29-year-old singer wearing a cupcake tutu and dancing around Tokyo, flanked by a quartet of Asian women dressed in matching outfits.
Avril Lavigne's 'Hello Kitty' Has Caused A Stir
Others scenes include Lavigne playing air guitar and drinking sake. There's also a sushi chef, and some glaring Fujifilm Instax product placement.
Not to mention those accusations of racism...
Avril Lavigne has dropped the music video for her sugary new single, 'Hello Kitty' from new album, Avril Lavigne. The rock and dubstep fusion track will be a surprise to say the least for fans of the pop punk of her early 'Sk8er Boi' days as the 29 year-old singer-songwriter boldly marches in a new direction in her sound.
Avril Lavigne Couldn't Have Predicted The Internet Storm That Would Greet Her New Video.
The girlish and garish 'Hello Kitty' will make fans recall the singer's similar U-turn on 'Girlfriend' but instead of cheerleader stomp rap and girl-on-girl cat-fighting, the new track is altogether another feline, full of dubstep drops, vocal effects and electro buzzes. Dressed in a plastic homage to Japanese teen culture, Avril debuts a new pastel-coloured, half shaved Skrillex-style hairdo which somehow manages to make the cheesy vid all the more terrible.
