The 24-year-old actor - who plays Nate Archbald in the hit drama - admits starring in a show famed for its immaculate wardrobes has forced him to think more about what he wears off set.
He said: "Because of the success of the show, I've paid more attention to the way I dress and have developed my sense of style."
The heartthrob now has a strong sense of style and is particular about the designers he is happy to wear.
He explained to Esquire magazine: "I like Ralph Lauren Rugby, John Varvatos - he's really bad-a*s - Diesel jeans, and I wear a slim-fitting, one-buttoned suit from Dolce & Gabbana. And I'm really getting into watches."
While Chace claims 'Gossip Girl' has made him more fashionable, his co-star Taylor Momsen recently insisted she is "too lazy" to worry about her look.
She said: "I really just put on what's clean. The easiest thing to find in the morning because I'm usually running late.
"It's just turned into style - I just don't bother, I'm just too lazy."
