A stampede of fashion designers took to Alice Tully Hall in New York City for the annual CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America) Fashion Awards, appearing on the red carpet alongside a variety of models, journalists and other fashion professionals.
The 2014 CFDA awards took place recently with various winners including Joseph Altuzarra, who won 'Womenswear Designer of the Year' for Altuzarra, and Maxwell Osborne and Dao-Yi Chow who were awarded 'Menswear Designer of the Year' for Public School by James Marsden. Pop-star Rihanna won Vogue's 'Fashion Icon' award.
'Francis Ha' star Greta Gerwig made an appearance at the 2014 CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America) Fashion Awards held at Alice Tully Hall in New York City. According to Vanity Fair, Greta was a huge fan of Rihanna's controversial see-through dress, revealing: 'She's my body icon, I love her ass so much!' Greta, however, appeared to be dressed the exact opposite of Rihanna with her floor-length, red, long-sleeved gown that had a neck-high neckline.
Rihanna stole the show at the 2014 Cfda Fashion Awards in a sparkling mesh dressunder which her modesty was preserved solely by a G-string. She teamed it with a fur boa and sparkling head-piece that gave her the look of a rude 1920s pin-up.
'Before Sunrise' star Ethan Hawke, Bravo executive vice president of development and talent and TV host Andy Cohen and Dan Stevens from 'Downton Abbey' all appeared on the red carpet at the very exclusive 2013 Cfda Fashion Awards held at Alice Tully Hall in New York City.
