Singer Celine Dion has been honoured by Las Vegas hotel and casino Caesars PALACE after a successful first year performing her show at the venue.

The songstress she signed a $100 million (GBP55.5 million) deal to give 200 performances a year for three years in a special theatre built for her by Caesars Palace. And a year into her run, elated bosses have taken out a full-page advertisement in Hollywood trade publication DAILY VARIETY to praise her efforts.

The ad reads, "Celine, congratulations on a year of amazing performances. In your time with us, THE COLOSSEUM has become the number one concert venue in the United States and has ushered in a new day for the Caesars Palace family. Celine, we thank you and salute you."

British rocker SIR Elton John is currently performing at the venue, while Dion takes a break.
