The cast and crew of 'Star Trek Into Darkness' discuss their biggest challenges on the movie, their successful auditions and working with each other at the official UK press conference for the movie. Among them are producer Bryan Burk, writers Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and Damon Lindelof, director JJ Abrams and actors Simon Pegg, Karl Urban, Alice Eve, Zoe Saldana, Zachary Quinto, Benedict Cumberbatch and Chris Pine.
Roberto said his biggest challenge was freedom. 'In the second movie we could do anything we wanted and that was terrifying and horrible', he said. 'Freedom is challenging, freedom is scary, freedom is your responsibility.' Alice said that she found 'keeping up with JJ whose mind moves at warp speed' the most challenging thing. On doing his audition, Chris says he was excited about how much fun the audition was, because he knew doing the film would be even better. Zachary talked about how they disposed of his Spock ears every day during shooting which disappointed him: 'I asked politely and kindly if I could preserve a couple', he says, before Simon admits to stealing the badge from his uniform.
