Ray Liotta Says In Interview That He 'Learned A Lot' In Beating Scenes On 'Killing Me Softly'
'Goodfellas' star Ray Liotta is interviewed about his time on the set of upcoming action thriller 'Killing Them Softly'. He discusses his favourite scene, the atmosphere on set and his upcoming projects.
Asked if anything went wrong during filming given the amount of violent scenes, he replies that he didn't get hurt but the perpetrators struggled a little. 'The guys that were beating on me, they were always complaining about something', he said. 'One guy had a bad back, the other couldn't lift me up.'. Despite this, he described it as his favourite scene as it was 'challenging' and he 'learned a lot' from it. 'It's much more challenging than you would think and it's harder to take a punch than it is to throw it in order to sell it, to make it look like it's really happening.' Describing the atmosphere, he explained that everybody was focused during filming because director Andrew Dominik was rather 'serious'. He says his upcoming projects are crime thriller 'The Iceman', drama 'The Place Beyond the Pines' and 'The Identical'.
