The New York premiere of 'W.E.' was held at the Ziegfeld Theatre and all eyes were on director Madonna, who wore a stunning black dress with puff sleeves. The singer turned director seemed very happy to be on the red carpet and occasionally grinned at the cameras. Later, she gathered together the cast of the film for a group shot.
W.E. sees a young woman, Wally, becoming fascinated with the story of King Edward VIII and the American socialite, Wallis Simpson, who fell in love in the 1920's.
