The stars of 'The Giver' were snapped on the red carpet at the New York premiere of the movie at the Zeigfeld Theater. They were Meryl Streep with her daughter Grace Gummer, Brenton Thwaites, Katie Holmes, Odeya Rush and Cameron Monaghan.
The movie, directed by Phillip Noyce and co-produced by Scooter Braun, is based on the teen fantasy book of the same name by Lois Lowry. It tells the story of an outwardly perfect existence under the rule of a corrupt government who believe uniformity and collective ignorance is the most effective way of running a community.
