When 18.11.2012
Best-selling author James Patterson makes a speech about his life at the Miami International Book Fair at the Miami Dade College. He talks about his poor upbringing in Newburgh, New York and jokingly adds: 'and that's why I feel I should be the next President of the United States'. He adds that, while he's been poor on and off throughout his life, being rich is admittedly much better.
'But I still believe that the satisfaction in our lives revolves more around who we are at the core', he continues, talking about how he hopes that being such a huge selling author hasn't changed him.
