The head of CBS News and Sports has predicted that when Tiger Woods returns to the links, "his first tournament ... wherever it is, will be the biggest media event other than the Obama inauguration in the past 10-15 years. In an interview with Sports Illustrated, McManus added, "It is hard to overestimate how much interest there will be. ... Tiger Woods is the most famous, most recognized, most accomplished athlete in the world, and his celebrity and prominence is even larger than it was." Several publications, citing unnamed sources, have reported that Woods is planning on making his comeback with the Masters on April 10 and 11, where the final two rounds are scheduled to be carried by CBS.
