Welsh beauty Catherine Zeta-Jones was urged by her mother to follow a healthy diet, in a bid to keep the actress away from "fad" weight loss programmes.
PATRICIA JONES became a successful slimmer with diet giants WEIGHTWATCHERS, and encouraged Catherine to do regular weigh-ins and keep a diary of what she eats and how much she exercises, according to Britain's NOW magazine.
Her mother reportedly became concerned about her daughter's dietary habits after the birth of CARYS - her second child with husband MICHAEL DOUGLAS - earlier this year (03), and took steps to commit Catherine to the WeightWatchers plan.
A source says, "They talk about diets a lot. Pat totally understands where Catherine's coming from because she's been through it all herself.
"Pat's down to earth and has no time for nonsensical Hollywood fad diets. She told Catherine to promise not to follow a crackpot eating plan as she believes it only ends up making you fatter a few months down the line."06/11/2003 21:02
