Catherine Zeta Jones chose to give birth listening to Tom Jones songs.

The 'Mask Of Zorro' actress insisted on having 'What's New Pussycat' by her fellow Welshman playing in the background while she pushed son Dylan Michael Douglas into the world in August 2000.

Tom told The Sun newspaper: ''People have said to me a few times that children have been conceived while my music has been played.

''But I think one of my biggest compliments I had was when Catherine Zeta Jones was giving birth to her first child.

''She had to have 'What's New Pussycat' playing.

''As soon as she started to have to push, she said, 'Put Tom on and I'll push'.''

Catherine had a difficult 2010 after husband Michael Douglas was diagnosed with advanced throat cancer, and admitted herself to psychiatric hospital the following May to seek treatment for bipolar disorder.

But the couple celebrated Michael's first cancer-free year in January - when pictures of Catherine sporting what appeared to be a baby bump fuelled pregnancy rumours.

However, a spokesman for the couple has since confirmed another baby is not in the pipeline.
