Carolyn Dawn Johnson was the big winner at last night's (13SEP04) CANADIAN COUNTRY AWARDS after taking home four prizes at the event in Edmonton, Alberta.

The singer's DIE OF A BROKEN HEART was named Song of the Year, while her DRESS REHEARSAL album claimed the Album of The Year and her hit SIMPLE LIFE was named Single of the Year.

Fellow Canadian Terri Clark was named Female Artist of the Year and took home the Fan's Choice Award for a fourth successive year.

Other winners included Alan Jackson (Top Selling Album), JASON McCOY (Male Artist of the Year), Doc Walker (Group of the Year) and George Canyon (Rising Star of 2004).

Meanwhile, THE GOOD BROTHERS were named this year's CANADIAN COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAME inductees in recognition of a career that spans more than three decades.
