Third Person Trailer

Love is never uncomplicated and when a third person gets involved, it can make things even more difficult. Michael is an award-winning novelist who has left his wife for a much younger lover. Meanwhile, a dodgy businessman named Scott travels to Rome to get involved in a fashion design scam only to meet an attractive young woman named Monika. She reveals that she has finally been given the chance to see her daughter again but when the money she needs to see her is apparently stolen, Scott finds himself embroiled in a much deeper con. The White Queen Trailer

The 'sword and shield' television hype continues to grow as The White Queen celebrates its release on DVD and Blu-Ray on the 19th August 2013.

The melodramatic television Drama based on the compelling, brutal and turbulent best-selling history novel The Cousins' War by Philippa Gregory portrays the perceptions of three passionate and equally ruthless women: Elizabeth Woodville, Margaret Beaufort and Anne Neville in their quest for power.

Set in the middle of the 15th Century, England is divided by war as The House of York and the House of Lancaster fiercely fight it out their dispute to who is the rightful king. After much dispute The House of York's young and handsome Edward is mischievously made King by Lord Warwick. All is well until Edward falls in love with Lancastrian Commoner Elizabeth Woodville, ruining Warwick's plan to control the throne. From here on it Elizabeth is put in a violent struggle where she must fight for her life and the crown to the throne. The story unravels and exposes a possible view one of the most interesting stories in British History.

Blood, Sex And Violence: The White Queen

Max Irons James Frain Rupert Graves Rebecca Ferguson Caroline Goodall

The White Queen stars two relatively unknown actors, Rachel Ferguson and Max Irons, as Elizabeth Woodville and King Edward IV. They are supported by James Frain, Caroline Goodall, David Oakes, Rupert Graves, Amanda Hale and many, many, many more.

A decent historical drama is signposted by the presence of The Tudors' Frain, The Borgias' Oakes and Graves, who donned a wig in order to play George Villiers in a BBC adaptation of the life and loves of Charles II. It does take a certain type of actor to pull off the floppy haired-tights-codpiece- thigh high boots look. Fortunately this trio do. Max Irons does quite well too.

The programme is a dramatization of the life and times of Elizabeth Woodville, wife of Edward IV. From relatively humble beginnings we see the Lancastrian lass rise to the highest position a woman in medieval society could reach: Queen. Elizabeth was grandmother of Henry VIII, a monarch whose offspring has overshadowed historical drama. The series is based on Philippa Gregory's best-selling book of the same name.

Dorian Gray Review

OK
Oscar Wilde's classic novel is turned into a schlock horror movie, totally engulfed by gloomy atmosphere and over-the-top filmmaking. It's watchably cheesy, but completely lacks Wilde's incisive wit or observation.

Dorian (Barnes) is an orphan who inherits a sprawling mansion when his tyrant grandfather dies. Young and eligible, he's quickly taken under the wing of Lord Henry (Firth), who introduces him to the licentious ways of late 19th century London. But the sex and drugs sabotage his relationship with an innocent young actress (Hurd-Wood), and Dorian pledges his soul to the devil in exchange for eternal youth. Now instead of aging, a portrait painted by his friend Basil (Chaplin) shows the scars of his depraved life.

The Princess Diaries Review

OK

Ah, the good ol' heavy glasses and frizzy hair -- Hollywood's hackneyed, telltale token of a plain girl due to have her life transformed by a makeover. Every generation of American girls gets a version of this tale thrust upon them, and this year's model is Disney's "The Princess Diaries," the story of a private school outcast who discovers she's heir to the throne of an obscure (read: fictional) European monarchy.

But this isn't your grandma's glass slipper flick. Our heroine is Mia Thermopolis (Anne Hathaway from Fox TV's "Get Real"), a brainy, affably wry San Francisco teenager who is none too sure she even wants the crown when the grandmother she's never met comes for a visit and reveals -- surprise! -- she's the queen of Genovia.

"My expectation in life is to be invisible, and I'm good at it," Mia proclaims at the beginning of the movie. But while she skeptically contemplates accepting or renouncing her royalty -- and the responsibility and exposure that would come with it -- Mia does acquiesce to getting the "Pygmalion" treatment from her grandma (the oh-so-apropos Julie Andrews) during daily visits to the Genovian consulate.
